yeah Spectre was essentially what Quantum of Solace should have been. now I think Quantum of Solace is a piece of shit, but I like Spectre, and I do think if they want to help give Spectre more meaning then they need to take character and elements introduced in the film into the next. I can't remember anything about QoS in order to label it as anything. That bloke from Butterfly and Diving Bell and something something facility in desert blows up. That's exactly how I felt after watching it for the first time. I was surprised to find it actually improves on second viewing.

No way!!! DAD and AVTAK, despite all their flaws are WAY better than QoS and SPECTRE. A brooding Bond does not automatically make his movies better. This the Nolanite and DC-Fanatic thinking. Die Another Day was tash. It was honestly the all time low point of the series. I think Die Another Day is the worst of the series. by far

For me, I think the biggest issue with QOS was that watching it was like trying to eat an ice cream sundae in one bite. The potential was there, and the action was absolutely insane. But it just felt like one action scene, after another, after another, after another, after another, after another...So much was happening that I had literally no idea what was even going on for probably 80% of the movie.
With Spectre, I feel like it had the opposite problem: It was trying so hard to world build, while playing it safe, that nothing happened for LOOOOOOONG stretches. Not to mention that the Blofeld twist and reveal was too obvious and felt forced. In Connery's flicks, Blofeld had YEARS of buildup, his reveal in YOLT is still considered iconic and the main highlight of that movie.

Here's hoping that the next one which reportedly has the working title of "Shatterhand" is atleast equal to or better than Skyfall.

Quantum is legit one of my favorite Bond films. I love the title, and the feel of the entire film is quick paced and fluid. One thing it never gets credit for are a ton of great scenes and character moments, and I love it from start to finish. Even the musical ambiance. It's fantastic. Completely underappreciated.

On its own Quantum of Solace is pretty "blah", but if watching it directly after Casino Royale it actually really adds to the overall experience. Spectre was such a waste of potential, and trying to tie all prior movies together just didn't work at all, neither did Blofeld's motives to be a villain, either.

Well that's your opinion. I actually loved Skyfall and it's in my top 10. The only major vice I had with it was Silva's escape plan. To each his own though.

Spectre was wasted potential but I still think it was an okay movie and was actually good until the Blofeld twist. QOS was pretty underrated imo it's still a decent movie and even though both these movies aren't the best I still give them 7/10.
Also yes I do think these films are better than DAD and AVTAK. I understand Bond isn't supposed to be dead serious but honestly those two campier Bond films just took it too far and were just very poorly written movies. Spectre and QOS didn't have the best writing but I would still watch those two over DAD and AVTAK.

All the Craig Bond's are shite Well said, although I would have liked to have seen that written as:- All the Craig "Bond's" are shite with the quotes around Bond just to highlight the fact that they aren't really Bond films and shouldn't be recognised as such...
