I enjoy Droid Bishop's tracks. I'm also really into FM Attack, you might enjoy this if you like Droid Bishop's stuff:

Oh man, some great stuff posted here. I sure do enjoy the whole nostalgic trend which seems to be still very well alive, with the sounds of the 80s and synth-wave or is it retro-wave? Anyway it makes me long for a time or period where I was only a little kid so it is great hearing and discovering all these fine songs.
Here are some of my favorites:
Highway Superstar - Easy Ride
I usually hate commercials on TV and radio, but this fantastic video makes the stuff made during the 80s (or some of it) look like pure art, at least compared to the trash that goes on TV 24/7 today. Such a feel-good and sweet melody, made even better by adding lots of stunning women in exotic places, and also comes with that great cozy 80s early 90s TV-Theme sound to it, which is not a bad thing.
Electric Youth - Right Back To You
Sounds so good, like it was just taken straight out of the mid 80s and arrived sometime in the early 2010s, from a time machine or something. Love the video it comes with and it is taken from a rather "forgotten" and somewhat underrated 1980s sci-fi/action thriller named Black Moon Rising where Linda Hamilton and Tommy Lee Jones are up against each other as two thiefs who "stumbles" upon a high-tech super-car. The 80s and futuristic super cars could just not go wrong. Anyway, love watching the stunning Linda drive around with Lee Jones right on her tail, that car chase was fantastic and looked like it could be out of the first The Terminator movie.
Miami Nights 1984 - Ocean Drive
Again, a stunning combination of great music and video/clips (I think it is taken from an old 80s Japanese anime).

Perturbator - Meet Jimmy (Feat. Le Cassette)A very beautiful song, full of emotion and longing. Love listening to this with my eyes closed and relax for a few minutes, then just let it take me to another place or time. Electric Youth - The Best ThingAnother great gem and one which comes with that kind of "fragile" yet haunting sound that makes me think of early 80s Tangerine Dream along with John Carpenter & Alan Howarth to it. Should have been included on the Drive (2011) soundtrack. Sunglasses Kid - Come Back to Me (feat. The Boy and Sister Alma)I gotta be honest, when browsing through New Retro Waves music list, I often would almost on instinct pick the ones with the hottest 80s babes on the images for the videos and I have still not been disappointed, in fact some of the best songs often comes with the most stunning looking ladies, and I am pretty sure this is a footage of a young Christina Applegate . Very catchy song also, by the way.

Since this has essentially become a Synthwave thread, I'll post another one of my favorites: So much positive energy in this one, I love it.

This one isn't really "upbeat", but I find it sort of hypnotically addictive... I also happen to love Videodrome.

Ok, I'll stop posting these eventually... Haha... The hook at 1:48 and again from 4:04 sounds like Saturday morning cartoon block theme IMO. Another one in the 'hypnotically addictive' category for me: Warning: This video contains some fairly intense strobing for about 2-3 seconds near the start, skip to 6 seconds if you're sensitive to that...

Very much agree, the energy is through the roof. Hell I feel it only by looking at the gorgeous picture of what really do look a lot like Steven Seagal's ex-wife. Also, the video/music combined with scenes from Videodrome worked very well. Fantastic film and music video. Decided to dig out a few favorites of mine from some years ago. Might not all be that catchy, but they have that certain sound to them which always makes me come back for more. Cougar Synth - Denying EverythingTommy '86 - Until the Sun Goes DownHighway Superstar - The Road to Alpha Centauri

I've been listening to this repeatedly for quite a while now, so I think it's time to put it here; it does take a while to build up, but I think it's worth the wait.

me and my friend are obsessed actually. I've never heard of him until now, but I love synthwave, so I might have heard some of his work in one of the many synthwave compilations available on YouTube.
I'm currently listening to NIGHTLAND as I write this and I like it.
PS - Would his professional name be related to the Lance Henriksen character from the film ALIENS?

Sorry about the rather big bump, but I kind of enjoyed posting, listening, discovering and talking about all of these pretty damn good retro 80s stuff, and while I have not exactly been too busy of finding any new favorites (to be honest, there is just too many songs/artists out there, and so very little time). However, when I look at OPs use of the word "Obssessed", I sure do think of this truly fantastic, catchy and kind of haunting (in a very sweet and nostalgic way) by Nightcrawler.
And this one certainly also makes great use of having one of the better female singers within the whole Synthwave genre, and by that I am thinking of the talented Dana Jean Phoenix, who is featured in the song:
Genesis Well, all the above, but again, I do have a certain way of picking up the videos that is containing some truly stunning looking women of that decade, and at first I was pretty sure it was a young Sharon Stone, but it turned out that it was in fact Denise Crosby instead. Still, a very beautiful woman and the picture kind of fits very well within the music, atmosphere and sweet voice of Dana Jean. For me, surely one of my favorite songs as of the last few months that I "randomly" found on Youtube.
Another one, which of course, again (guilty as charged) I just had to give a go, by the cute picture of a young Elizabeth Shue, but the music of At 1980 and Missing You hit right home with me. Very enjoyable and feel-good sound, and I am planning on trying to continue on checking out more of this music, maybe also making a few playlists in the near future as well.
