Opening Weekend....I think its going to be really big....higher than $150 million. Maybe $170 million...we'll see if I'm right.

Under. It's trailer looks dumb. The beast isn't scary looking and Kevin Kline looks out of place.

Before the "gay LeFeou" controversy, I would have said 180M opening. But so many conservative families are condemning this film now (a large chunk of Disney's money) Christian families who want a family film. So I say 115M opening weekend, but it falls fast due to mediocre reviews and word of mouth, not to mention Christian families not seeing or doing repeat viewing. What could have easily been a 400M or 450M Domestic gross and 1.5B WW will now be a 230M Domestic and lucky to be 700-750M WW

I am going to rank this about even with Logan, Kong did $60 million and Logan dropped to just under $40 million. Beauty opens with some very weak 'opening day' competition and the audience is larger because of parents and children. Best guess, around $80-85 million, pushing 90 tops. And that The LEGO Batman Movie just won't quit. (4!) maybe I should take a better look at this one?

I am just not feeling the hype for this to do that much. No one in real life is talking about this movie.

I'd think it would be fair to compare Batb opening to Dory's opening. Dory opened with 136M. I actually am thinking it will do a bit higher than that.

Domestically the talk is about $120 million and globally $200 million, those are very likely, wish I could find the pre-sale figures but Mar 1, 2016 ...Batman v Superman- Will it actually break a $200 million opening weekend? came in at $166 million and seemed to have high pre-sale figures as well. The problem is that I had great interest in Batman v Superman and little in Beauty v Beast- so maybe out of the loop on this one will bow down to your w-intuition Average Rating: 6.5/10 R/T that has got to slug at those numbers a bit, very curious.
