I recently saw the GG Allin documentary. Can't believe he walked the streets covered in shit just before he died. There were some touching moments with his mom. Overall a great documentary.

Mommy Dead and Dearest. The less you know about it going in, the better. One WTF moment after another.

Facing Ali(09) www.imdb.com/title/tt1419318/?ref_=nv_sr_1?ref_=nv_sr_1Probably my favourite Ali doc, if I was watching back then, I woulda been cheering on all these guys. Always found Ali to be an ass but very entertaining Some crazy tales from 10 guys that fought Ali and great that they were still alive after all the beatings they took

I watched "Grey Gardens" a couple weeks ago. Of course, I have seen it before. Little Edie is adorable and heartbreaking. Underneath all the chatter is a portrait of a parent-child relationship that is both toxic and not without a certain amount of affection between mother and daughter. Compulsively watchable...

The new Ken Burns documentary series on COUNTRY MUSIC was really well done and interesting even to this non-Country Music devotee. The names were at least familiar and the was great. It got to feeling little long by the end ... 14 hours (or was it 16 ?) ! but well worth watching.

None!
I haven't seen an unbiased or intelligent documentary for decades.
'The World at War' is still probably the best documentary ever made.

I watch a lot of documentaries, mostly nature, true crime, or history, but the last great documentaries I've watched are probably Three Identical Strangers and BBC's Dynasties. Three Identical Strangers is heartbreaking, Dynasties is wonderful, stunning, breathtaking.
