February 25 marks the 25th anniversary of Pantera's "Vulgar Display of Power" album. Any fans of this album and/or Pantera? How has the album held up after 25 years?
It's still considered by many, including myself, to be Pantera's best album. Solid stuff top to bottom from Mouth of War to Hollow with all the band members in top form.

I was never much of a Pantera fan but I did see them on that tour and I like a few songs off the album. People still love them and love that album. So in that respect I think it has held up really well

As quote over in Music General, it's the only Pantera album I own. I still remember a quote from a reviewer who wrote, "Vulgar? Awe-inspiring is more like it."

I like Cowboys From Hell slightly better, but I nonetheless wore the hell out of my Vulgar Display CD during my youth.
