It really is an impossible question to answer. Everyone has different tastes and opinions, and all jazzmen each have their own styles, play different instruments, and each could be as great as the other in a different way.

Thanks catman. If I made my choice I'd plump for Oscar Peterson, but then I play jazz piano, and dear Oscar is no longer with us. But he's still alive to me. :-)
