Superman(1978) is a great superhero movie. I watch it every time I happen upon it on TV.

I've been a huge fan of Superman: The Movie ever since it's 1978 release, Superman: The Movie. Before that, I didn't really hear anything about a movie or anything. Not on Adventures of Superman atleast.

Wonderful film. This is a standard the MCU has yet to reach, in my opinion.

I think Superman the Movie is the best superhero film ever made and one of my top 10 all-time films. That is was made almost 40 years ago is remarkable. Christopher Reeve is perfect as Superman/Clark Kent.

Beautiful movie. The perfect handling of a super hero origin story. Special effects that still hold up today.
And of course, Christopher Reeve gives an amazing performance as Clark/Superman.
This is still my favorite superhero movie of all time.

It remains a good superhero movie thanks to the sheer scale of the story and of course Christopher Reeve but I must confess that I found most of the action monotonous and the resolution Superman comes up with is laughable.

Fantastic movie.
Apparently the director had a sign on his desk that said simply "Versimilitude!" He was maybe the first person to realise the right way to do a Superhero movie, by taking it seriously.
Oh, and that's one of the finest movie themes ever written, IMO.
