Even though most would say horror really started to become more graphical in the 70s, with the input of Herschell Gordon Lewis gore was introduced in 1963 with Blood Feast. Also more and more horror would become filmed in color.
So which are your favorite horror movies from the 60s?
My list (top 20)
Black Sunday Village of the Damned The Day of the Triffids The Flesh Eaters Night of the Living Dead The Gruesome Twosome The Haunting Homicidal The Innocents Mr. Sardonicus Spider Baby Tormented Two Thousand Maniacs Les Yeux sans Visage Rosemary's Baby The Witch's Mirror The Birds The Nanny Hush Hush sweet Charlotte Whatever happened to Baby Jane?

I notice you've left off a considerable amount of Hammer product, not to mention all the great AIP Vincent Price/Poe pictures! I'd include those before drek like The Flesh Eaters, Tormented, Two Thousand Maniacs, and the (ugh) "Gruesome Twosome." How can you compare that to "Masque of the Red Death" and "Pit and the Pendulum?"

Maybe instead of being the usual grouch and lecturing others what is good or bad, come up with your own list.

Maybe if you didn't have such thin skin, you'd have a happier time of it here. Keep going like you have been, and you'll eventually have a meltdown.

But you've still left off a considerable amount of Hammer product--and Hammer had better distribution than crap like "Gruesome Twosome." Come on.

Please don't tell me what to do. You have no power here and can't dictate to anyone.

What attracted you to it? It's at the bottom of my list but I figured that I should mention at least one William Castle film in honor of the great director. Castle made a handful of equally good tongue-in-cheek horror films during the sixties (13 Ghosts, Mr. Sardonicus, Strait-Jacket and Homicidal as well as the horror-comedies, The Old Dark House and The Spirit Is Willing) and they're all worth a watch. 13 Ghosts just happens to be my favorite of the bunch.

My favorite 60s from Castle would be either Mr. Sardonicus or Homicidal, I can't pick. 13 Ghosts I dunno why I cared little for that one. However the movie taught me why an Ouija board is called like that.
