The Warriors for me for the simple fact that they will be forever known as the team to finish with the most wins without winning the championship. As the Bulls continually reminded themselves during the 1996 playoffs, "It don't mean a thing without the ring."

cool poll, at least you are being creative and polling NEW topics, instead of the same one over and over like tom does.
i bet he will make one "biggest choke in PAST 20 YEARS" and just ass a couple of options onto it. it gets annoying as hell

Falcons losing a 25 point lead in the Super Bowl is the biggest choke job in sports history, period. No team has ever done that and most likely no team ever will. Losing a 3-1 lead is bad but plenty of teams have done it, no one has blown a 25 point lead in the Super Bowl. Also the Warriors got a raw deal with Draymond's suspension, with that the NBA basically made a 3-1 series a 3-3 series, let's face it, they wanted the Cavs to win

really? the falcons choke is worse than 2004 alcs? i should make my own poll on that, it would be great if someone finally usurped the epic yankee chokejob.

The NBA is rigged so the Falcon's choke job is the worst.

Like I said in my other post, the NBA suspended Draymond to get the Cavs back in the series and basically turned a 3-1 series into a 3-3 series. So it was somewhat rigged. The NBA is the only sport that can be feasibly rigged, because there are so few players and the refs affect the game more. It's impossible to rig a baseball or football game, because there are a ton of players and the refs don't as much of an effect on the game

I knew after the first GS-CLE Finals, the league would do all they could to make it happen again(look at the suspensions last playoffs lol) Maybe you're idiot for lapping this shit up.

If you don't like his polls, you don't have to participate in them.

Falcons easily. You can never count teams out down 3 games to 1. Pats were down the equivalent of 3-0 in games and an 8-1 deficit with 2 out in the 8th.
Don't forget Nadal being up 3 games to 1 in the 5th vs Federer at the Australian Open and losing the next 5 games.

How can an NFL game be rigged? By calling a lot of holding fouls against only one of the two teams. Holding happens pretty often in many plays and sometimes it is called, sometimes it is not. When refs are too strict about it regarding one team but not the other, it hinders the targeted team pretty badly since they can't put together a productive drive and keep walking backwards. Not to forget the gray area of pass interference calls, offensive or defensive, which can really rob teams of touchdowns they'd otherwise score, or make it easy for them to score when otherwise they wouldn't have scored.
I'm not sure if it intentionally happens. Sometimes watching games one has the impression that it does but I wouldn't go as far as affirming that it does. I'm just saying that it *is* possible to rig an NFL game, just like any other sport.

As the Bulls continually reminded themselves during the 1996 playoffs, "It don't mean a thing without the ring." The Falcons. The Warriors are the only team to lose a 3-1 lead in the NBA Finals, but plenty of other teams have lost 3-1 leads in the NBA playoffs.
But losing a 25-point lead in an NFL game? Well, the Oilers lost a 32-point lead to the Bills and the Saints lost a 28-point lead to Joe Montana (the greatest QB of all-time) and the 49ers, but I think that's all. Only twice before in all the games in NFL history had a team blown a 25+ point lead. It's very rare in NFL history and almost impossible to do, but the Falcons managed to do it (although with some assistance from the refs missing an obvious facemask penalty against the Patriots that would've given the Falcons a chance to kick a FG to clinch the game late in the 4th quarter).

Nothing will ever top 18-1* Agreed. You're 18*-0, winning those 18 games by 18+ ppg, and all you have to do is beat a #5-seeded, double-digit underdog that you had already beaten on their home-field just 5 weeks ago. It doesn't get any easier than that.
The stars were all aligned for the Patriots to finish 19*-0, which would've been the greatest season in NFL history. But the Patriots choked it all away. 18*-1. LOL!!! That's still funny!

Collingwood own this category. 1970 VFL Grand Final. 120'000 people at the stadium, millions watching on television. 44 points ahead at half time: they lose by 10. 1977- 29 points ahead going into the last quarter, 110,000 at the ground and the largest tv audience ever in Australia up to that point: coughed up every one of those 29 points.
Newcastle and Liverpool in the EPL deserve mention as well.

First I think the OP was discussing in recent memory.
Of course Red Sox coming back down 0-3 is bigger.
As for the 18-1 season, people forget, the last game of the season, NE beat the Giants 38-35. So Giants knew from that last game, they could hang.
People need to give the giants credit. They had a massive defensive line. I mean Michael and Usi....and when one got tired, enter Tuck. That is beastly. so they could switch in and out in and out and give the other rest. Tuck-Usi-Michael S....come on, idk how the Giants didnt win more games that season.
Now as for this question....
Cleveland V Chicago Cubs....the Cubs just had something special. Again 3-1 you cant count them down.
As for GSW, as someone else said, Draymonds nonsense suspension was a massive hit and now only that, they lost Bogut. Now you can laugh all you want but Bogut was the C starter for GSW. He was a rim protector, you lose him you just lost size. So yea....
It is easily NE V Atl. Only 3 teams have made a 10 point comeback. This isnt 10 points...this isnt 20...this is 25 points.
Atlanta should have ran it more, after that Julio catch, run run run and take your FG. Sure, I guess their kicker could have missed, but they didnt even get to attempt a FG after a huge sack and a 10 yard penalty. One 2 point conversion stop, stop NE on 4th down, it's done, youre the super bowl champs. That was a disaster for Atlanta and Im calling it now....they will miss the playoffs next year. This is gonna mess with their psyche.
