Thin all the way for me. I remember on the old board, there was a snarky fellow from Chicago who took this discussion WAY too seriously and became rather obnoxious about it.

Ultra thin crust for me...most pizzerias are clueless when it comes to thick crust...
Black olives, mushrooms and sausage are my favorite toppings...

According to chef Mario Batali, "It is a celebration of the bread.". When I made pizzas, they were of a medium thickness.

My preference is for a thin crust. However, I think that there are toppings that call for a thick layer, beneath. The one that comes to mind is a delicious clam topping, offered by a local pizzeria. It includes an olive oil base, that soaks into the thick crust for a great texture/consistency. A thin crust just wouldn't stand up to it.

Hello, Thickness has its uses. Where it comes to pizza, well, when one wants thinness, why not eating wraps instead ? The taste of bread pasta is one of the ingredients that are pizza, with the smell of oregano... And bread is not usually thin, in Italy, at last. But that's just litterature. Till later T

I tend towards the thick crust. But I love bread, so... But I have a love of cheese as well, so layer that on.

They all look great in the photos. But am I wrong in saying that pizza can be made very different according to the state you live in? I am a New Yorker so I am used to a certain kind of pizza. When I visited California the pizza was different. Maybe it's just the particular places I went to. Overall I love the thin crust and that's what I"m used to. But I love the photos of the other pizzas too.

Thin, NY style, foldable, hot oil that can scorch the roof of your mouth.

Thin crust all the way. I don't like pan pizza or Sicilian pizza or deep dish pizza. Too much dough.

Ok, I might not like deep dish pizza (after seeing a photo of it) - but I do like thick and thin. I go with the flow (whatever they're selling).
