I saw one yesterday, and it occurred to me it was the only one I could think, at least that was great... It's usually the male lead who gets screwed over by life, so seeing "The Match Factory Girl" brought a new dimension, and hoping to see more..

The one that instantly comes to mind is Jackson County Jail. Poor Yvette Mimieux, she has her car hijacked, she gets arrested, and raped in jail. And that's just for starters.

I remember someone mentioning this - and I think it's on YouTube! And it's from 1976! AND, I like Tommy Lee Jones, so thank you! If anyone has older movies, I'd be interested. The one positive thing about the Hays Code is that they wouldn't waste so much time with the sensationalism.. I'd prefer the freedom, to have some discretion, and a better movie. |
