actress for La La Land?
Emma Stone having an Oscar so young for a performance not close to Oscar worthy pretty much destroys the Oscars credibility completely

They had credibility?
I was fine with her winning

I'm fine with that, although my personal choice would have been Isabelle Huppert.

The Academy knew they would have to make up for giving Best Picture to Moonlight instead of La La Land.
La La Land is literally the exact movie the Academy was made for. It's the movie of their wet dreams. Moonlight just fit their political agenda at the time, so they chose it.
Stone's victory was an apology to the makers of La La Land if you ask me.

The Oscars lost their credibility many years ago. They're a joke now as far as I'm concerned.

I think she is very good in the movie but I don't even nominate her. 2016 was a very good year for Lead Actress.
I wouldn't go so far as to call her win a joke but it is a pretty disappointing win.

Almost as big a joke as nominating people only because of their non-white skin color.

I did, but not because of her age.

I was surprised Amy Adams wasn't nominated. I mean, ffs they could have removed Meryl Streep from the final list and no one would be the wiser.

Should have went to Amy Adams (for Arrival) but she wasn't even nominated which is crazy imo . That is her best role to date. Certainly way better than her role in American Hustle which was nominated.

I like her in pretty much everything but I just thought her performance in Arrival was her best so far.

The Oscars are a joke in itself. It's all politics. Talent has lil to do with it.

This was a terribly weak year for the category and I don't think ANY of the nominees deserved the win.
