I don't know how well known this movie is, but I revisited it about a week ago and was as entertained as I was the first time. This is a really strange movie, but well-done. You're never really sure how seriously it is taking itself. It could just be the setting, but this reminds me of the tongue-in-cheek tone sometimes used in "Tremors", which I also quite enjoyed.
Here's a cut and paste of the IMDB synopsis for "Rubber":
"A homicidal car tire, discovering it has destructive psionic power, sets its sights on a desert town once a mysterious woman becomes its obsession."
If you can hang on for a surreal journey that exists purely in its own reality and doesn't shy away from a knock or two on the fourth wall, there are some laughs to be found here. I thought it was an original and entertaining watch and definitely recommend checking it out if your a fan of things like "Tremors" and maybe "Gremlins." (This isn't really a creature movie, but I had a hard time thinking of anything to compare it to)
Anybody else come across this movie?

One of the most ridiculous movies I have ever seen.
It made very little sense but was kind of amusing.
