First the entertainment media tried to convince us that "Wonder Woman" is the first ever female super hero movie, which it isn't. Now they are trying to make us think that "Atomic Blonde" is the first ever female super spy movie, which it isn't. This has been seen countless times before in movies and TV. Do they have amnesia? Do they just write whatever sounds good at that moment? Are they totally ignorant? What do they get out of saying "this is the first blah blah blah" all the time?
I can't wait for "Atomic Blonde" to come out. I think it is going to be a blast but the fact that the star is a woman is not ground breaking in any way.

Harriet the Spy is rolling over in her grave. I had a mega crush on her when I was a kid.

Harriet the Spy is rolling over in her grave. I had a mega crush on her when I was a kid. So did I. Then I had another megacrush as a teen after I saw her in Eurotrip.

Somebody has their PC glasses on. Someone has their bullshit-detector glasses on, is what is happening. If this phenomena actually existed, it should be easy to present the evidence. Is your reality based on evidence, or based on what the voices in your head tell you?

There is currently a campaign to get Wonder Woman nominated for an Oscar. You were saying? Which of course has absolutely nothing to do with my challenge for evidence regarding the assertions about Atomic Blonde. Did Mommy drop you on your head a few times when you were a baby?

Did you even read the OP? It's about both movies. Your arrogance is unwarranted, because frankly you aren't smart enough to be that cocky.

Excuse me, cupcake, but to anyone with half an IQ point, the fact that there is an absurd Oscar campaign for Wonder Woman has absolutely no relationship to the assertions of the OP. I still await evidence which supports the thesis. It will never come, and you know it. You people are just delusional babies.
