Pediasure, "He was falling behind on the growth curve, so I give him Pediasure for 2 months so he fits his superhero costume." Excuse me, growth curve? What the hell is that? And since when is there an exact size that a child is supposed to be at any given time?

Not exact, but a child should be a certain height by a certain age. That is how it is determined if some is of "average height", a "giant", or a "little person".

They would not want to meet my niece then. She was always the shortest, the thinnest, the tiniest, and the whole family worried she might never grow, then when she was a teenager, bam, she sprung up just like everyone else.

I know a woman (5'4") whose son, for the longest, was about an inch shorter than her up until he was around 15. Now he's about an inch shorter than me (6'1").
