Question about Miranda Frost from "Die Another Day" Jul 25, 2017 6:25:10 GMT

In "Die Another Day" when Bond is talking to Madonna about Miranda Frost, she says that Frost won an Olympic Gold medal in Fencing, and Bond adds that she won it by default. Madonna then goes on to say that the winner OD'ed on steroids and that is why Frost was awarded the medal.

My question is, who takes steroids for fencing?

Not her opponent, the OD was arranged by Graves/Moon.
But fencing is a sport and like any other and performance enhancing drugs can give you an unfair edge. A quick Google search turned up these articles:
French fencer tests positive for steroids
Steroids in Fencing? Italian Andrea Baldini suspended
So it does appear to be happening.

Well smack my head and call me Judy! Thanks for that info. I never thought that athletes would use steroid for a sport like Fencing. I guess even Archery contestants will probably be thinking about taking steroids.

It's when darts players get caught doping we'll know the problem is truly out of hand.
