One of the best comedies of the 80s, Ruthless People is a true laugh-out-loud comedy. I remember when I saw it at the theater and people were laughing hard and hysterically, myself included. And quite rightfully so. A clever script with so many funny situations and hilarious facial expressions (especially by Danny DeVito), and lots of memorable lines including "I've been kidnapped by Kmart!" and "She's not exactly Mother Teresa; Gandhi would have strangled her".
Now, if only somebody can put out a special edition blu-ray (Shout! Factory I'm looking in your direction).

I agree that Ruthless People is hysterical.

Indeed, a very funny movie. Bill Pullman makes an amusing film debut as the dumbest guy in the world.

Directed by ZAZ and that gets overlooked.

I love it. It almost feels like British-style humor to me.
