...I worked in the I/T industry from mid 70's to 2008. I've seen every iteration of computer from that timeframe, from CPM 64K machines, (Kay Pro 64) to Apple IIs & III's, to the small B&W Mac to the LISA and on. I worked for IBM and was involved with the introduction of the IBM 64K PC, the PC Junior (not to mention the IBM Display writer word processing system). The early Compaq was a luggable suitcase but it filled a need. I still own a dozen functioning computers including an Atari 1200XL with 12 game cartridges.
DBase II, WordStar, LISP (artificial intelligence) Lotus 123, and any number of other obsolete programs were the toast of the town in the early days. OS2 anyone???
