As most of you are aware I have not been a huge fan of the latest X-Men outings, but THIS WAS AWESOME!
In a rather bleak entry we see a Post X-Men Logan, something has happened and the mutants no longer exist or there is a few of them out there. Director James Mangold chose to make the film almost colorless with much, much more character development than previous Wolverine and X-Men movies. We see a tired character that no longer belongs in a world that has feared him for over a century.
While Hugh Jackman in his last outing as Logan does an amazing job and proves once and for all why NO ONE ELSE can ever be Wolverine, the supporting cast does a superb job as well starting with Sir Patrick Stuart who returns as Charles Xavier, Boyd Holbrook (Netflix's NARCOS) as an astounding and dangerous antagonist and newcomer Dafne Keen who is a rather sweet but incredibly deadly Weapon X-23.
The movie is filled with gore and violence, but it does not feel forced at all in such an obscure movie. There is a rather new trend in Comic Book Movies after DEADPOOL, make them as brutal as possible, and while this started in the 90s with THE CROW and BLADE it has gained some track and more R Rated CBM are being developed as we speak.
I HIGHLY recommend it.

It's been Certified Fresh at Rotten Tomatoes, and currently sitting at a rating of 95% -- And this before it opens in many markets worldwide!

Director James Mangold said influences on Logan included "visual reference points" of cinema: Shane (1953), The Cowboys (1972), Paper Moon (1973), The Gauntlet (1977), Little Miss Sunshine (2006), and The Wrestler (2008). Wow, did somebody have too much caffeine before this interview Little Miss Sunshine? superhero movie/ O.K.

I'll be watching this movie later today, and I cannot wait! I actually believe that this will be a good movie, but for me it comes a few movies staring Wolverine too late. I cannot bring myself to watch that character again. Probably will watch it at home when it's released

I cannot bring myself to watch that character again. Probably will watch it at home when it's released Well, I've seen it Wednesday. First day release, the theater was about 50% full. That surprised me, it's a holiday period here, but I've seen worse on release day.
It's one of the best superhero movies imo. But it is far from perfect, unfortunately. Some parts were magnificent, other parts were disappointing and at times too vague.
Still, it is worth seeing, especially if you're a Wolverine fan.

I just saw it. It started off really slow but it got better halfway through. I recommend it. 3/5. Loved the Deadpool teaser!

I thought it was quite good, easily the best Wolverine film, and probably the best X-Men film as well.

I thought it was great! I enjoyed the references to Shane (1953). I liked that it mixed the genres of superhero/horror/western/road movies.

I agree, great performances from Jackman and Stewart. It was well made and had some good dramatic moments. I rate Logan 8/10.

I just saw it. It started off really slow but it got better halfway through. I recommend it. 3/5. Loved the Deadpool teaser! For me it started off perfectly, then became just another amped up superhero movie with ridiculous action sequences. I'm glad it had something to satisfy both of us, though. Haha Overall I liked the movie, but I didn't like how the parts fit together. It starts out like a Mad Max movie. And that was good. Then it has kind of a Rain Man vibe as the characters learn about each other. That was good too. Then it turns into a Shane homage, and that was good for a while. And finally, it turns into a Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome, and unfortunately, like Thunderdome, that sequence didn't meet its potential. Though I liked all (or most of) the parts, I didn't like how they film kept abandoning its themes. Case in point (no spoilers), the ending is wonderfully emotional, and then when the credits roll, a song with a completely different vibe starts, ruining that emotional moment. It would have been better to carry that emotion into the credits. This film almost feels like a different person directed each half hour of the film, and though I like the individual parts, the whole suffers.

I have seen all the X-Men movies but I have never seen any of the Wolverine movies until this. I really loved it. I thought it was well acted, directed and written. This was hands down one of the most brutal films I have ever seen but, it didn't get in the way of the film. It didn't feel like a comic book film to me. It felt a sci fi/western to me.

This was by far the best Wolverine movie I've ever seen. Maybe the best X-men movie as well. I liked it more than Deadpool. It has been some time since I've seen the first 2 X-men films so I'll reserve judgement with those.
Comparing Logan and Days of Future Past are like comparing apples and oranges. DoFP is more like a extravagant blockbuster and Logan just feels like a smaller, more contained film that was well made. I liked them both for different reasons.

It was good.
TIP: If you're going to see it for the first time....there's no end-credit clip. I waited around for one until the lights came on.
