It's not really that different. It would have been cool to see some of the cartoony stuff from the animated version, like Gaston snapping a belt tied around his neck, but I can live without it.
However... I don't see Gaston in this clip. I only see Bard.

I guess the appearance is throwing me off a bit. I guess as a specimen, he isn't intimidating.
Have to agree. I like Luke Evans as an actor, but I wish they had gotten someone brawnier with more classical good looks. Not that Evans is bad looking, just that he doesn't have that square-jawed, alpha male look. And yes, he's too scrawny for Gaston.

I'm hoping they'll modify the lyrics of the song so that they actually make sense with the version of Gaston in the live action version. A remake shouldn't be a complete rehash of the original anyway, because then there's no point in watching it.
