I personally think Henry Cavill.
He he was great in "The Man From U.N.C.L.E" it wasn't his fault the script was terrible and Armie Hammer was trash, Cavill gets a bad rap.
If you watch him in "The Tudors" and "Man of Steel" you can see his potential. He was playing Superman as conflicted and unsure. He is only playing what the writers and directors give him.
He looks like the perfect James Bond. Get the right director and writer.

Don't know about actor, but I'd prefer an episode or two with a bit less gravitas.

Tom Hiddleston
He is actually a great actor.
His portrayal in "The Night Manager" was like an audition for James Bond.

I always thought Chiwetel Ejiofor would make a great Bond. He's always good, IMHO.

Right now my top 3 are 1: Dan Stevens youtu.be/8Q5i9GXRVQA He did a fantastic job playing a charming, cold-blooded killer in The Guest and stopped playing an English gentleman in Downton Abbey in order to do it. Luke Evans: A talented and charismatic actor with right amount of charm and intensity for Bond. 3: Aidan Turner Nailed the look in last year's And Then There Were None and has been setting hearts aflutter with Poldark

Someone we're not yet overly familiar with. Bond casting is best when you don't have a lot of preconceived notions about the actor taking the role.

If Chris Nolan is directing, then it's gonna be Tom Hardy (he said he wanted to play bond if Nolan was directing

Tom Hiddleston or Benedict Cumberbatch. Jack Davenport is another possibility.

They only decided against him because he was too young at that time to play James Bond convincingly. Well, he's not too young now. He looked great in Man from UNCLE. He's being wasted as Superman. He looked far more comfortable and charismatic in the role of a super spy.

He looked far more comfortable and charismatic in the role of a super spy. I remember reading about this like ten years ago. The director wanted Cavill but he was too young for the role. I wanted Henry Cavill to be James Bond before they hired Daniel Craig. My other choices are Tom Hardy, Armie Hammer, and Sean Teale. I heard a lot about Tom Hiddleston back in 2016 because of The Night Manager. I'm disappointed in myself that I only caught the first three episodes that aired. I felt the show was going to take a turn in episode four. Even though he did an amazing job on the show , I would be disappointed if he got the role.
