...I do one big meal and buffer that with snacks on either side throughout the day...
I believe it depends on how old you are...

1 meal at the end of the day. I've tried to do more, but I get tired if I eat. And yes, I eat healthy .

I usually eat 2 or 3 decent sized meals and 1 snack a day.I have started counting my calories as to try and not eat too much in a day.

Thanks everyone. Area51, you're certainly a good eater! I'm trying intermittent fasting, so 16 hours fasting, 8 eating. Not for 8 hours straight! It makes you a bit more cognizant for your daily intake, but still looking for my stride.

This is the only posting on the board mentioning fasting.
I generally feel good when I have a decent gap between eating times, though it's usually like the last time - no food/drink/water after midnight for teeth extractions with nitrous at 11 am and then only a few cool soft items after.
I want to fast more, but I am always overloaded with food that will go bad if I don't eat it.

I want to fast more, but I am always overloaded with food that will go bad if I don't eat it. I've started intermittent fasting in recent months, using that 8 hours on (noon - 8 pm) and 16 off where I don't eat anything but can have water and black coffee. Basically, you can drink anything with fewer than 50 calories in the aggregate during the 16 hour window. My problem was that I'm extremely active so I'm always hungry. That lead to eating so much that by the time I finished dinner, I was uncomfortably full. I've tried portion control and other various things that would get me to eat less but it didn't work. Intermittent fasting, however, seems to do the trick. So now, I basically eat a big lunch, a normal dinner and I'll have a fruit or trail mix snack (that I make) in between and that's pretty much it. Granted, going to the gym in the morning means I'm rather famished by 11 am but so be it.

I'm a grazer. I eat when I'm hungry. I usually eat only one or two foods at a time and I eat small amounts unless I'm treating myself to a Big Mac. I eat the whole thing then I'm stuffed for at least 12 hours but for me its ecstasy. I do most of my eating between 4:30 am - 3:30 pm. My husband prefers set meals but he snacks a lot.

I do 3 meals with 3 snacks for @ total of 1800-2200 calories
