Groucho Marx rocks. George Fenneman rocks. DeSoto rocks.
I've got both DVD volumes issued by Shout Factory. If you ask me, every surviving episode (and there are many!!) should be made available.
Any other fans on here?

Groucho Marx rocks. George Fenneman rocks. DeSoto rocks. I've got both DVD volumes issued by Shout Factory. If you ask me, every surviving episode (and there are many!!) should be made available. Any other fans on here? One of the most famous stories about You Bet Your Life turns out to be true. The show was a pioneer in many ways. One of them was the taping before broadcast instead of going live because of Grouch’s sometimes off-color ad-libs. The most well known came when the show was still on radio. A Mrs. Story from Bakersfield, California was the contestant. She had 19 children. The exchange went this way: Groucho: "Why do you have so many children? That's a big responsibility and a big burden." Mrs. Story: “I love my husband.” Groucho: “I love my cigar but I take it out of my mouth once in a while.” The studio audience went crazy and a show biz legend was born. The exchange was, however, cut out of the broadcast. The anecdote is told in Groucho’s book “The Secret Word Is Groucho.”

...I own several DVD issues of that show. I also (of course) own every DVD movie that featured the incomparable Marx brothers.

...on one of the You Bet Your Life episodes, Groucho had his daughter on along with one of her friends...the other young gal was none other than a very young Candace Bergen, daughter of the great Edgar Bergen...
