She can be bad ass, sexy, and doesn't mind make-up.
What do you think?

She can be bad ass, sexy, and doesn't mind make-up. what do you think? I could stand to see her in nothing but body paint yes, and please let her choose that option as a professional responsibility.

She can be bad ass, sexy, and doesn't mind make-up. what do you think? I'd rather Sofia as an Action Girl character. I like the Mystique that's a mastermind and manipulator than the henchman Mystique that's in the movies. Someone like Risque or White Tiger.

Watching Into the Badlands on Netflix and think Emily Beecham would make a good Mystique.

What I wish they'd change is Mystique's paintjob. Enough with this I-have-blue-corals-growing-on-my-skin with slicked back red hair look. Why can't they just give her the same bluish skin like Ronan, give her normal red hair without the excessive hair gel and make her dress in her iconic white dress?

Because they had the wrong idea for Mystique in X1. They saw Mystique (and all the Brotherhood) as animal hybrids. Mystique was a human/chameleon hybrid. So they gave her scales. She was nude because they overthought that she shouldn't be able to change her clothes when she shapeshifted. Not thinking that she created clothes when she turned into someone else. Also not thinking that the white dress she wore in the comics was made from her body. And her slicked back hair. It was meant to give her the look of being bald, but keeping her comics look. Guess that made it easier to change her to another person. It was all stupid since they had to change her out of her nude, "bald", look into another person anyway.

Yeah, it didn't really make sense to give her such an extensive make over when it didn't really make her powers any more believable. She's able to create clothing from thin air anyway so it didn't make sense to make her walk around naked. Just made it more difficult for the actress playing her and for the props personnel.

And the thing about her powers is that she is surrounded by people with amazing powers. None of them has to be believable. Not really creating clothing from thin air. Think of her as a GI Joe toy where the clothing is a part of the molding. Her "clothing" is her skin in which she changes the texture. The reason she goes to that white "dress" is because it's a subconscious form.
