Anybody else hate that ad? Talk about going for the guilt. Explain why it was impossible for you to get the HPV vaccine AFTER you were 11 or 12, were you already screwing the whole school then and infected by that time? And if so, was that your parents' fault too?

YES!!!!! OMG NOVA I WAS JUST COMING HERE TO BITCH ABOUT THIS STUPID ASSED COMMERCIAL!!!!!!!
But, in retrospect, their reasoning behind this might be due to all these twit, holistic parents who are too afraid to get their kids vaccinated FOR ANYTHING because it MIGHT cause autism. might.
side note... and srsly, the way some within the spectrum [the ones with auspergers -- which I don't consider under the same strand as the others] get to change the rules of the world as they see fit... for real, man. score! [for them, the rest of the world has to live and deal with these cantankerous souls.]
SRSLY, FOLKS, AN AUTISTIC KID IS AN ALIVE KID! AND YOU GET SERVICES UP THE WAZOO!!! INCLUDING YOUR KID GETS HIS OWN NURSE-MAID [PARA AT SCHOOL]!!!!! I DON'T SEE A PROBLEM WITH HAVING AN AUTISTIC KID!!!!!

But a lot of people can see a problem with having an unnecessarily paralyzed kid, as was a result of the early released version of the HPV vaccine. Apparently even now that they've had longer to test it, still a lot of kids are having horrible reactions to it. So this is one instance where the advertisement goes for the guilt, but people can deflect that with the real life guilt of children on ventilators and who can't walk anymore. That's a very real threat to them, not the maybe possibility of their kids getting cervical cancer in 20 years.
