Surprised the WOM is so good. I hated the trailers. Looked like a poor man's Wolf of Wall Street.

I now am worried about someone perhaps accidentally spoiling (even a tiny bit) of the movie for me, (even though I saw Narcos so I know the end bit) so I am gonna have to refrain from this thread until I see the movie. Talk in a month!

Just seen it.
It's good, not great but it's on par with the expectations and what the previews/trailers showed. Now, I hope you will forgive me for making comparisons with The Mummy but this time, Cruise is the right guy for the role and he has some chemistry with the female co-star, Sarah Wright.
The tone is the right mix of seriousness and humor. The duration is just right. As for the pace, it's correct, there are times where it seems to slow down a bit but never to the point you're bored.
I wouldn't say the movie will be as memorable as The Wolf of Wall Street (roughly the same kind of story) but it does help Cruise's batting average for the year. Worth the watch.
7.5/10 (8 at most).

However I did enjoy it a lot. I would also give it 7.5 or 8 at most. Certainly worth the watch.
