What X-men movie are you talking about? X-Men: Dark PheonixMarvel isn't just bringing movies out for the hell of it. There is an actual structure and placement of characters Right. And MCU's structure is to build a male-dominated cinematic universe where male characters are the lead in the 1st 20 movies. If WB hadn't announced a Wonder Woman movie, MCU would've never made a Captain Marvel movie or any other female-led movie. Duse, why does it even matter if it took so long to make a female-lead film. Even without Wonder Woman, they'd still do it. She's just not as a popular character as Wonder Woman. But they've had Black Widow for a strong female character, even if she's not leading. As usual, you're just upset from Marvel's success

No, they wouldn't have. They've had 9 years and still haven't done it yet. A supporting character. Sure, keep telling yourself that, jerkoff if that makes you feel better about yourself. And again, who cares if she's a supporting character. Same with Gamora and even Nebula to an extent. The MCU is no stranger to strong female characters. Why throw in a female lead just for an agenda-sake. They were smart to wait because now Infinity Wars and Guardians are expanding more on the Kree mythos which Captain Marvel revolves around.

Shouldn't we just be happy that we're getting another female lead comic book film? Why does everything gotta be a dick measuring contest between marvel and DC fans?

The stupid and annoying fan wars, will never end. And it will continue, eventuell if some users here in their 60's, or even 70's. Because those people will never grow up. Even if they try hard to act like an adult person. It won't never work. That's why i some times ashamed, in humankind.

Well said DC Fan. It is so nice to see a male member standing up to the sexist bullshit in this industry.
The fact we have people who think there is an agenda to have female lead comic book movies when there have been just as many female lead series as male lead series and a number of them have had much higher sales than the male lead series that have had multiple movies out goes to show where the true agenda lies in Hollywood lies. Carol Danvers should have had her own movie back when she was Ms Marvel and it is an absolute joke she didn’t have one before Ant Man, Thor, Guardians of the Galaxy and Doctor Strange when she is Marvel’s biggest selling female superhero of all time and has higher all time sales than all of those names but the problem is Ike is a RWNJ who hates women and stopped Marvel from having female lead movies and made the MCU into a penis fest. If you take out the sexism Ms Marvel, Spider Woman and She Hulk should all be in the MCU by now and been a part of ‘Civil War’ like they were in the ‘Civil War’ comic books but we better shut our mouths ‘cause that would be having powerful female characters on screen and we know we can’t have that...
You see, the big difference between Ikey Boy and Geoff Johns is Geoff isn’t a male chauvinist pig and he isn’t threatened by strong female characters. Geoff Johns wrote ‘Supergirl’ comic books, was one of the main people behind making Barbara Gordon Batgirl again with Gail Simone and he has talked about his love for Black Canary, the Huntress, Birds of Prey, Batwoman, Zatanna and Raven in a lot of interviews. It was Geoff Johns who announced that they have big plans for more of DC’s biggest female superheroes on screen after the success of Wonder Woman and more Bat Family members (many of which are FEMALE) so the Bat Universe finally mirrors the comic books meanwhile Marvel hasn’t announced a single female lead movie outside of Captain Marvel. We are not hearing about Spider Woman (Marvel’s second biggest selling female superhero of all time), She Hulk, Shanna the She Devil, Spider Gwen, Ms Marvel, Mockingbird, America, Elsa Bloodstone etc movies.
In fact Sony are officially going to beat the MCU to releasing their first female lead comic book movie with ‘Silver and Black’ which is coming out in February, 2019 and they HAVE also talked about having more female lead movies in the Sony Spiderverse which will most likely be Spider Woman and Spider Gwen so it takes another company running things to get Marvel female superheroes on screen. And yes, you are right. Black Widow is a side character and while I like her character Ms Marvel should have been the first female superhero in the MCU but she was too powerful for them to make into a side character which is also why the upcoming ‘Captain Marvel’ movie is being based in the 90s and she is not in ‘Infinity War’ ‘cause they don’t want a female superhero on equal grounds to the male superheroes. I am betting she is dead in the present 'cause we already have Neon Nazis throwing tantrums over one lousy fucking movie of Marvel's biggest female superhero being made now and claiming it is some SJW agenda movie but they need not fear 'cause I am sure they are going to get a hundred other movies of white guys called Chris to watch in bed.

Too expensive. Perhaps Hawkeye or Falcon. Nick Fury. Didn't they say he was going to be in her movie (pre-eyepatch)? Ah yeah that's right. Maybe we'll see Skrull Nick Fury?

If it is it will be led by Mystique. Which is not good. You really are off your rocker if you think Sophie Turner will lead that movie. She will probably get as much as Famke in X3. Or their structure is to not cater to being male or female dominated. But did you notice this shift in the DCEU because of Wonder Woman's popularity? If Wonder Woman didn't do as well as it did, do you think they would have shifted her into as much of a prominent role? Brie Larson was announced as Captain Marvel a looooooooong time ago. Also, if you noticed, they started playing up Captain Marvel in the comics way before the DCEU even started.

You do know he doesn't actually care about them having a female led CBM, right? It's just more ammo to use against the MCU. When he finds something else he'll start saying that. Right now Wonder Woman is the biggest thing that they DCEU has. If Justice League is successful he'll use something from that. I heard that Marvel is going to bring the Sentry into the movies. Having just read that he's probably pissing himself thinking about how Marvel can make a better Superman movie than DC. Also, just as many female led series as male? Heh, funny. Most female led comic book series are either mini-series or short lived. And most of the ones in DC are legacy characters or attached to another. Batgirl, Batwoman, Catwoman, The Question (Renee Montoya) are all Batman characters. Even Harley Quinn is a legacy character from the Joker. How many original female led comic books are there? Wonder Woman and... umm... exactly. Also, Ant-man, Dr Strange, and Thor are bigger characters than Carol Danvers. Also, they came out before Carol Danvers. She was not an original Avenger. Thor and Ant-man were. Hell, the Guardians of the Galaxy came out in 1969. 2 years after Danvers 1st appeared, but 8 years before she became Ms. Marvel. Marvel isn't like DC and just throwing characters out there. Marvel is actually building history by using it's history. Danvers is not dead because they are going to have her post Infinity War in Avengers movies as well as her own. Funny what cosmic powers and alien DNA could do to a person. I wouldn't be surprised if they turned her in Binary and had her leave the planet and return because of the events of Infinity War. And wtf is a neon nazi?

Shouldn't we just be happy that we're getting another female lead comic book film? Why does everything gotta be a dick measuring contest between marvel and DC fans? Well, it all started back in 2008 after Iron Man was released, many MCU fans swarmed the TDK boards and said that Iron Man grossed more than Batman Begins and said that TDK would never match Iron Man.

So you are saying they weren't working on boosting Captain Marvel up? And Brie Larson was announced before comic con. How do you think everyone knew?

Brie Larson was announced before comic con. How do you think everyone knew? The official announcement wasn't until Comic-Con 2016. And that was still almost 2 years AFTER WB already announced a Wonder Woman movie. So the fact remains that MCU would've never made Captain Marvel or any other female-led movie if WB hadn't announced a Wonder Woman movie first.

That's the same member that insisted hiring a female director for Wonder Woman was a risk.

Okay, Trump, I don't care about who started it. I'm tired of both fandoms acting like children. By the way if you actually care about female representation in comic book films, why the hostility towards Captain Marvel? Also it took DC how many years to get Wonder Woman on the big screen? After the countless Superman and Batman movies? Hell they did Green Lantern before Wonder Woman! We should be supporting both woman centered films and POC centered films, regardless of what company does it.

You intentionally give misinformation and then we actually read the articles, see what they ACTUALLY said, and then call you out of your bullshit. Enough is enough. We've all figured out a long time ago that its just an act. Drop the shenanigans.

Well, turned out that the article was about Sylvester Stallone and DC-Fan simply switched names around. Why does that remind me of shameless lies/manipulation that was pulled off by 'Jem and the Holograms' live-action crews?
