Wth a total weekend gross that's estimated to be at $64 million, it marks the lowest grossing weekend since September 21-23 2001, almost 16 years ago.
But of course that is WITHOUT inflation. So when you take that into account it's actually the worst weekend since May 8-10 1992.
Even worse than that is that next weekend there ain't diddly squat out so it will be even worse still, potentially the worst since the 80's.

That should be the case...but remember ALOT of people are pissed at Stephen King due to his political views against Trump. That will definitely affect IT's box-office but we don't know by how much. It's going to be interesting to see IMO.

So as it also turns out now August 2017 at the box office which grossed a total of $648.5 million (unless that last day wasn't included in yet) is the lowest grossing month of August since 1997.
But once again that's without inflation. If you adjust for inflation then according to Box Office Mojoits the worst since...well I don't know because it doesn't go back far enough.
It only goes as far back as 1982 so at the very least this has been the worst August at the theatres in over 35 years.

Luckily September will hopefully bring us a few great movies like It, Mother!, Kingsman: The Golden Circle, Battle of the Sexes, American Made & Anti Matter. If they're all great this could actually turn out to be one of my favorite years for September movies in a long time.

It's going to be interesting to see IMO. No it won't. Only extreme Conservative nuts will care, about 1% of the population. Normal conservatives and Republicans won't care. If a movie is good, people will go see it.

It's kind of weird that nothing especially noteworthy came out Labor Day weekend.

They probably face a dilemma. They are committed to making agitprop and trying to introduce themselves to China-which means making films that are kindergarten simplistic to homegrown audiences. The solution is to bring in new people and let them have more creative freedom, but they don't want to do that. The last thing they want is to let people make films that are not globalist in ideology. It once again shows that these companies are not in business to make money, but to spread agitprop.
And once again it proves that smaller is better. Smaller companies, lots of them--true diversity.
Rather hypocritical of 6 media companies to say diversity is strength when they run monopolies.

Yesterday with Hitman Bodyguard being the #1 movie with $635,000 it made it the lowest grossing #1 movie for the day since September 10 2012.
