...I haven't had anything at McDonald's since the mid 1990's...
I much prefer Wendy's for fast food...that is, when I have a craving for fast food...

Easily over 15 years. McDonalds is the worst fast food place in existence... (Well, except for maybe Taco Bell.)
When I see the yellow arches I... TAKE EVASIVE ACTION!

I just found-out that McDonald's and other fast-food chains put wood pulp in their burgers and other food items.

I just found-out that McDonald's and other fast-food chains put wood pulp in their burgers and other food items. Yup. A lot of food manufacturers do this as well. I stopped buying that finely powered Parmesan cheese because it contains wood pulp. It's amazing that things like this don't generate more outrage. Companies could put actual dog shit in their food and people would still eat it in gleeful ignorance.

...heh...I recently heard the Jewel food store chain was sued for putting sawdust in their grated parmesan cheese...

I like wood pulp. Sometimes I chew a toothpick long enough and just swallow it.
It's just cellulose. Fiber. Probably non-soluble, no idea.
Probably avoiding McDs since my kid was a preteen. He's over 30 now.

I have just avoided that place. Maya you are very smart. McDonald's taste great but it is the worst thing for you. We should all avoid it

I don't avoid it, but I don't make it an every day thing. I'll have fast food about once a week.

I like to pop in to McDonald's every once in a while and get a quarter-pounder with cheese and a hot apple pie. It's sort of random: months and months may elapse before I set foot in a McDonald's, and I don't even think about it. But it's nice to know they're around.

Yeah, I haven't had McDonalds since at least 2003-2004, with one exception maybe 5 years ago.
For the most part, except for the French fries, I don't even like the food, so I don't really think I'm missing anything.
It used to be that McDonalds[es] were ubiquitous, and folks would talk non-stop about consumerism--now it's 7-Elevens and Starbucks ("Starbuckses"?), and I've noticed that fewer people talk about them. I still believe, however, that Starbuckses must grow from magic beans, how quickly they pop up on every corner.
