Latest eps I watched was Ashes to Ashes, the burglary one with a token black family, guest starring Vivica A. Fox. Some roughly aged moments, like Kelly telling Brandon he's hip for bringing her to the Peach Pit, & a 'negro' bomb to Brandon summing up her frustration with latent racism like her b/f being accosted by police for walking alone in Beverly Hills. To be fair, it was in the echo of the Rodney King incident, the show obviously wanted to touch on things esp being set in LA. The b/f was actually a very good actor, & the dialogue & performances for the Inglewood scenes were cinematic calibre.
Going through the season, still fun watching ppl scrounge around without cellphones or internet. I've at least a dozen seasons of tv shows on dvd, if not more, & this first time re-watching one to match its original air date calendar schedule has been pretty neat. Maybe next year I'll watch my Cheers S4.
I always wondered how the cast reacted to his performance on set - must've been a fun eye opener. Shoutout Brian Austin Green - drunk David was a fun trip also, chasing his own episode carrying performance during Scott's demise the previous eps.
The chaser eps to follow, the one with Emily & the parade float... my childhood memory seems to have remembered that as longer than a single episode arc. Weird. I guess one night a week maybe 3-4x a month on network tv skewed reality.
Disc 3 on deck. Still crazy that only halfway through, the season began in July, still all the way until May to go. Noyce.
