David Bowie, Catherine Deneuve, Susan Sarandon
Beauty. One of my favourite movies.
It was a fresh take on an old topic, and it was beautifully filmed.

One of my favorite vampire films. It is a time capsule of the wonderfully, strange 80's. Catherine Deneuve is perfectly cast as the icy, beautiful vampiress Miriam. David Bowie and Susan Sarandon are also both great in their roles. Plus, it features Bauhaus' Bela Lugosi's Dead. Love it

That opening scene was to die for (no pun intended)! I've watched this movie so many times, and my head and body respond to this so much. Love it. BAUHAUS is brilliant, the performance amazing, casting and filming gorgeous. I can't say enough positive things about this movie.
I have a custom made ankh that was inspired by this movie. OOAK. This movie played a pivotal part in my life at a pivotal time with a pivotal person. Like one of those time-markers in life where the road you're on diverges and you start walking a new path.
All positive...

Beautiful indeed. Such a sensual leading cast makes this one very enticing. Tony Scott's vivid visuals go hand-to-hand with the audacious concept and a classy music score.

I wouldn't mind a remake that was a little more exotic and graphic. While granted, because a lot was implied or inferred in The Hunger, it could appeal to a wider audience, and it added to the mystery and unknown. There is a beauty to what is not show, as well as what is.
With the passing of time, if they could provide as eclectic a cast as the original, it might be interesting to see what could be done with this masterpiece.

I loved The Hunger, one of the better and more original takes on the Vampire mythos I've seen in a long time. I adored the visuals. I found the ending a little confusing the first time through, but that's most likely because I was only a teenager at the time.
Plus, Catherine Deneuve and Susan Sarandon having lesbian sex. What's not to like?

This remains by far one of my most favourite films. It happened to come out at a time in my life where the subject matter touched a part of my soul, and a piece of me has been missing ever since.
What I like is that they conveyed the genre but did so with innuendoes and inflection, inferring that certain events took place. There wasn't an "in your face" type of plot exposition. Yes it was slow, which maybe lost some viewers. But I found myself entranced the whole way through.
I was so infatuated with that marcasite lizard brooch that Deneuve wore that I found one (granted on a teeny weeny scale) at a flea market. I love it.
This movie is a classic and is a big, big part of my personal history.
My partner and I loved the movie so much, we had matching necklaces made based on this design. Customized. Sadly I have since lost the necklace, oh woe be providence. But I have another rather similar one that I wear.

This is such a beautiful and sad film. The cast is amazing, the music is beautiful, and the opening with Bauhaus, perfect.

I didn’t really connect with it too well. I own it in a 4 movie set so might give it another shot soon.

Should be lower than 5 if you HATE it 🤣 I have a different rating system than yours. 5/10 is a terrible rating from me. (Just try watching a movie that has a 5.0 rating on IMDb and see how much you like it.)
