"You want a prediction about the weather, you're asking the wrong Phil. I'll give you a winter prediction: It's gonna be cold, it's gonna be grey, and it's gonna last you for the rest of your life."TV meteorologist Phil Connors (Bill Murray) is not particularly looking forward to being dragged along for another dreadful visit by covering the famous Groundhog Day in the town of Punxsutawney. And this year he find himself in the company of the cheerful and cute TV producer Rita (Andie MacDowell) and her clumsy cameraman Larry (Chris Elliott), and as usual, Phil just can't wait for the workday to end, so that he can leave town as fast as humanly possible. But this year it won't be that easy, as fate has other plans in mind and the team has to stay over the night in Punxsutawney thanks to a sudden blizzard, which just happens to be the very beginning of one very bizarre and long day. This one, probably don't need much of an introduction. Harold Ramis and Bill Murray put their talents together and the result was to be one of the best romantic comedies of the 90s and one of those rare films, that if I suddenly found myself in the same surroundings as Phil Connors, I would have loved to watch Groundhog Day over and over again. My two favorite scenes in the movie, funny as hell but also sad at the same time.

It was a good movie. I literally just finished watching the movie About Time and that was somewhat similar what with the character being able to go back in time and was also a romance movie.

It's a perfect 10/10 film for me. It contains a lot of mixed emotions. If you ever wanted to know what it would be like to repeat the same events day after day, then this movie nails it to a tee. It's both hilarious and sad that he tries to kill himself. The homeless old man dying always gets to me. You have to love Ned. "Watch out for that step there, it's a doozy!" Too bad Harold Ramis and Bill Murray had a falling-out on the set. I'm glad it didn't impact the movie, but I'd like to think they patched things up before Harold passed away in 2014. This is one of the last good movies Bill would be in before taking on other crap projects like Garfield (2004).

It is absolutely a great movie! Very poignant at times, mixed with humor throughout. I’ve seen this over 30 times! Ned Ryerson (Stephen Tobolowsky) cracks me up every time.

Great Movie!
"I'm not going to follow those rules anymore... Oh Yeah, and don't drive on the Railroad Tracks!"
"Umm, that's one I happen to agree with!"
"Is it too early for Flapjacks?"

Bill Murray signed my Blu-ray. What is written on Andie MacDowell’s face? I can’t make it out.

Bill Murray signed my Blu-ray. What is written on Andie MacDowell’s face? I can’t make it out. It says "Still Am".

I always liked Bill Murray but I never liked this movie. Repeating a day over and over again would make me wield a machete.

I'm watching Groundhog Day... AGAIN! And, at the beginning of the film, Phil is forced to return to Punxsutawmey because of the Blizzard, and he is trying to make a phone call at a gas station, But all the long distance phone lines are down... He asks the operator if there is a line they "keep open for Emergencies or for Celebrities?" He then says... "I'm Both. I'm A Celebrity In An Emergency." I wonder if that would make for a great Spin-Off TV Show... " I'm A Celebrity In An Emergency!" Each episode will feature Celebrities dealing with Emergencies. (Flat Tires, Missed Airplane Flights, Earthquakes, Hurricanes, Power Outages...) Bill Murray could host it. LOL! Can't be much worse than many of the other reality shows that have been made.
