I always hated we never got to see these two get together in any crossover or anything, you have the guy that knows everything and the guy who distrusts everything, and despite this I think they would've gotten along together perfectly. Maybe Munch could've talked Goren into partnering with him on a new bar.
What's everyone else think?

I'm not familiar with Goren but Munch is one of my favorite cops of all time. I think he holds the record for a character appearing on different shows and networks. When he appeared on The X-Files the concept of a character being part of a show on an entirely different network was virtually unheard of at the time.

I agree, Munch and Goren would’ve been awesome together! Both were brilliant but eccentric detectives who were distrusted by a lot of the police force, I think they would’ve gotten along well. It’s a shame Munch never appeared on CI, he appeared on so many other shows, even ones that had nothing to do with L&O.

I totally agree here novastar6 that would have been excellent to see these 2 fine gents Goren and Munch be in at least one scene together discussing a case in a cross-over episode of the two shows they were on . These 2 characters were ( and still are ) my top favorites too . My other top favorite character Lennie Briscoe from Law and Order who I do miss but watch in reruns and was actually on a cross-over episode with Goren too . Thanks so much for your subject post .

Yeah Briscoe was awesome, he did get to interact with Goren when him and Green appeared in the CI episode Poison, when Goren and Eames connected a string of poisoning’s to one of Briscoe and Green’s cases, that was an awesome crossover. It’s a shame Munch never appeared on CI, he appeared everywhere else, even the short lived Trial By Jury, it’s too bad we never had a Munch/Goren scene, that would’ve been awesome. It’s too bad we never had an SVU/CI crossover, that would’ve been great, although after CI ended Eames did appear twice on SVU where she had become the LT of the counter terrorism squad.

That's right Xeliou66 great catch there with the episode name reminder here too . I just could not remember the name of that episode before . Also I agree that was a great cross-over episode too and I believe I watched that one a few weeks ago as well ( on either WETV or the SUNDANCE Channel ? ) . Briscoe and Munch were also on another cross-over episode together too . When those two got started with their natural on going humor what a fun team they made on this show . I also remembered watching those episodes of L&O SVU with Eames too definitely another rare treat there . Thanks so much Xeliou66 for these awesome reminders and for your reply here too .

Briscoe and Munch were also on another cross-over episode together too .
Homicide: Life on the Streets. When Emil Skoda was a racist murderer, and Munch found out Briscoe slept with one of his ex-wives.

That's right novastar6 it was a cross-over episode with Law And Order great catch there too . It's actually too bad not one of these cable channels will show the reruns of - Homicide: Life on the Street from 1993 to 1999 IMPO - it was such a good show also . Thanks so much novastar6 for this reminder and your subject post too .

"It's actually too bad not one of these cable channels will show the reruns of -" It's all about getting the rights to the show & cost. POP or H&I would be great networks since they carry the better dramas now.

Yeah but Munch is more funnier than Goren IMHO! But both would get along well. Too bad they never met.
