...growing up in the 1950's, my brothers and I had bags of baseball and football cards. While we didn't throw them out, my Dad used them for kindling in the coal burning furnace which heated our house...
A 1952 Mickey Mantle rookie up in smoke, among many others !!!!

Great question!
Lip Smackers lip gloss in Raspberry Chocolate (it's now super rare because it's been discontinued for years.)
Chapstick Flava Craze
My drawing of an Egyptian cat I did in 5th grade. I was feeling down so I threw it out. Looking back, I wish I had kept it. It looked pretty funny.
The Weekly Reader newsletters I would get from school.
The Christmas fundraiser catalog I got in first grade. It had pretty gift wrapping paper samples inside. (actually, I think my Dad had threw it out)
Bunch of old coupons I got from a coupon dispenser. It would be great to see how much things had cost back then.
The big baby doll that I had when I was 3 or 4. She had gorgeous blue eyes and blonde hair. I probably wouldn't have the space to keep her anyway.
A bunch of happy meal toys from the 90s.

My dad threw out a few of my things too.. like my Barbie bag, a book I got as a gift, my barbie camera, a fan I got in school from a Japanese vistor, my set of colored chalks, etc. Plus, I strongly feel he has something to do with some of my missing stuffed animals. I also kinda regret throwing out my super cute old box purses from the 90s, if only they were in better condition.

My green Stretch Armstrong monster I had as a child - but to be fair, I think it was chucked out because it broke. I seem to have vague recollections of black ooze seeping out of it which would indicate it did, indeed, break.

Optimus Prime & Soundwave
Though my nostalgia bias impairs the fact that both toys were well worn, loose limbs, & not really in any shape whatsoever to enjoy. Probably went out the door mid 90's. The last Transformer I kept was Bruticus/Combaticons & even that was because least worn out, still no shape to be enjoyed.
They didn't owe me anything. TF G1 toys delivered the goods for 2-3 years of indoor & outdoor play. 2-3 years as a kid might as well be 12-13yrs.

Yes, some of my original toys were well played with, but some others were still in very good shape... I Sold my collection to a friend for practically nothing, in the mid 90's too, just to make a few bucks... The Transformers franchise at the time seemed to have been all but dead, and so was my interest in it. Then came the release of the original TV Show on DVD... and then the recent live action movies... Even kids today have several new cartoon show to watch... Transformers have made a huge comeback and is as popular now, as it was back then... and has even rekindled my interest in the franchise as well... And yes, I have even picked up a few of the "toys". LOL!... Although it is more about nostalgia, and technical curiosity now. I don't play with them as characters. But, I have had fun Transforming them. The rest of the time they just sit on the shelf... I wish I had my old ones to put on the shelf too! And the Masterpiece Skywarp I bought at WalMart isn't a toy, it's a work of Art! I also wish I kept all my Star Wars figurines... My Mom took all of my original Star Wars toys to the Thrift Shop, because, I didn't play with them anymore... But again, this was before Lucas made his Prequel Trilogy... I wish, I stopped her.

I've my TFG1 fix via a couple books: The Transformers Vault & a little collector's hobby field guide pocketbook showing every single toy. I've the full G1 series on DVD, & yeah, even season 3 & '4' are better than when they were way too new for us kids back in the day.

I didn't throw them out but my Mom gave them all to the neighbor kid who promptly blew them all up with firecrackers or by putting them on kamikaze runs against a wood fence. I'm speaking about my fairly large collection of 1/48 model airplanes that I had painstakingly built and painted growing up.
Among the losses:
1/48 Monogram B29 Superfortress 1/48 Monogram B24 Liberator 1/48 Monogram P51 Mustang
Many others were lost but those were the three that really hit me hard. That B29 took a week to build over a summer.
