THE HOSE OF FRANKENSTEIN
(originally The House of Frankenstein)
In this just-unearthed gem from the Universal horror cycle, mad scientist Dr. Jerome Seinfeld (Boris Karloff) persuades the dying Dr. Victor von Frankenstein (Nigel Bruce) to give up his secrets. With the help of insane hunchback Ygor (Bela Lugosi), Seinfeld travels to Transylvania to perform his dastardly work in peace. Little known to Seinfeld and Ygor, Transylvanians are still reeling from the reign of terror inflicted by the late Count Dracula and do not take kindly to the newcomers' presence, especially when they movie into Castle Dracula itself. Seinfeld and Ygor attempt to endear themselves to the villagers, but the only people who welcome them are Lois Lane (Evelyn Ankers), the burgomaster's daughter, and her two duelling suitors, Perry Mason (David Manners) and Woody Tobias, Jr. (Lon Chaney, Jr.)
Dr. Seinfeld takes a particular interest in young Woody, whom he considers the prime candidate for killing and attempting to revive according to Dr. Frankenstein's formula. Ygor quickly murders Woody and returns the body to Castle Dracula, but Lois realizes what happened, and she and Perry run off to stop the evildoers. On the way, however, Perry trips over a hose that would restore intelligence to Woody's reanimated corpse, leaving him a shuffling and mindless monster who will kill anyone in his way.
Can our hero and heroine stop these combined fiends before they can take over the world? Certainly, if the angry-crowd villagers have anything to say about it...
(As you can tell, I love coming up with plots to these...)

The Bi Lebowski
In this sleazy erotic thriller from the 90s, Jeff Bridges plays accomplished bowling superstar Jeff Lebowski. He's got the car, the money, and the beautiful wife at home (Julianne Moore). Things get complicated when Lebowski has a one night stand with a stranger (John Goodman) who turns out to be a disgruntled Vietnam vet. Lebowski wants to forget the whole thing, but John Goodman will not be ignored and begins stalking Lebowski and ruining his life. Famous moments include the scene where Goodman beats Lebowski's car while yelling "This is what happens when you literally f*** a stranger in the a**!" and Lebowski finding his wife's toe in the mail.

STAR WAS
The life-cycle of a star--from the greatest peak of what it was to its current status as a white dwarf.
Yep--as dull as anything. This is not a particularly gripping film, sadly...

Curses, President Ackbar™ ! I was trying to work on one for Bride, couldn't think of it, so I fell back on House instead. How about... THE HOST OF FRANKENSTEIN Baron Wolf von Frankenstein (Basil Rathbone), leaving the cursed Frankenstein village by train, is introduced to eccentric millionaire John D. Hackensacker III (Rudy Vallée) and his equally eccentric sister, Princess Centimillia (Mary Astor), who wants to make the already-married Frankenstein her 99th husband. Hackensacker invites Frankenstein to his home but regales him with such annoying stories that Frankenstein snaps, rushes back to his father's castle, and decides to make an army of Frankenstein monsters to attack the Hackensackers. The peasants, also bored out their minds by Hackensacker, actually join along and help Frankenstein in this endeavor for once. Will the army of monsters take over the world and defeat the host of Frankenstein? Let's hope so! Find out in this thrilling, also-just-released Universal horror gem (now part of a package with The Ride of Frankenstein and The Hose of Frankenstein)!
