Judy really made this a contest if you ask me, making the roll all her own and taking on that parental role while Bernard's will always be the classic standard bearer. But which is your favorite at this point?

Judy (i grew up with Brosnan)
i basically grew up with Brosnan as i was born 1979 but i never really seen GoldenEye til sometime after i played the GoldenEye game on Nintendo64 which was in late 1997. so if i had to estimate when i first seen GoldenEye i would guess around 2000 as i never really started to watch a bunch of movies til basically 2003 which at that time i would have been 23-24 years old. but i imagine prior to the 2000's my movie viewing was much more limited even though i have seen some random movies here and there. like with James Bond in general... i probably never seen all of those til roughly 2000-2005.
for the record... while i used to think the Brosnan Bond movies were amongst the better ones in general (some even amongst the top area) none of them hold up for me anymore.

I prefer Dame Judi Dench (as I started watching the Bond films since Daniel Craig) mostly since she had more involvement in the Bond films as her tenure went on, therefore, her character evolved more into a real person with her cold, hard-nosed, tough-as-nails personality. I do still love Bernard Lee's portrayal since he's the living incarnation of Ian Fleming's M in the original novels.

Judy, she brought some real gravitas to the role. Though I did enjoy Bernard, and I can remember being sad when I heard he had passed away. (I grew up with Moore).

Judy (I grew up with Brosnan)
The character she plays is more interesting than the one played by Lee. She got to be more involved in the plot of the films than Lee did.

But which is your favorite at this point? They both did so well in the role that I don't think I can choose one as being better or worse than the other.

Bernard Lee. Never found Dench convincing as M, always thought she looked more like Bond's elderly aunt.
