Time Enough at LastIndeed coldenhaulfield . If only poor Mr. Henry Bemis had a second pair of reading glasses on him . Thanks coldenhaulfield for your reply . I know, it's heartbreaking! As someone who's worked as a bank teller in the past and an avid reader, this is one of my favorite episodes of any television show. So it is true for us TZ fans here there is definitely an episode for everyone that we can really relate to - wonderful . My first one of the two as I mentioned in my very first post here was and still will always be - MINIATURE I can so relate to the two main characters Charley Parkes & Alice Summers . Of course with a few exceptions never was in a special hospital and never lived in a museum either . Thanks again coldenhaulfield for your reply .

Another excellent list here too gunshotwound a lot of these are favorites of mine as well . Of course with this fine show most of these are all faves with me . Which makes it difficult for me to choose narrow-downs to an exact list with the exception of the first 2 I mentioned here on my original post . Thanks so much gunshotwound for your reply .

Welcome here everyone !! My top 2 personal favorites of all are : 1.) " Miniature " ( season 4 episode 8 - 1963 ) 2.) " The After Hours " ( season 1 episode 34 - 1960 ) What are your top faves of this most memorable show ? "Miniature" was one of those episodes that wasn't shown on tv for over twenty years. In 1984 WGN finally aired it again.

It's great to see that there's a place for just The Twilight Zone. I find it hard to pick just one or even a handful of Zones. That said, I'll give it a whirl: Where Is Everybody?
What You Need
A Nice Place To Visit
Elegy
The After Hours
The Howling Man
The Hitch-Hiker
Nightmare As A Child
The Whole Truth
The Grave
Will The Real Martian Please Stand Up?
A Passage For Trumpet
The Midnight Sun
Night Call
Stopover In A Quiet Town
Ring-A-Ding Girl I'm glad someone other than mentioned "What You Need" the most underrated and underappreciated episode of the ENTIRE series. On the old IMDb (RiP) I was usually the ONLY one to do so.

What You Need is grim and downbeat (a fair number of season 1 eps were). As time goes by and they continually reboot the TZ I'm coming to regard Nightmare As A Child as one of the best Zones, especially if one substitutes the word "molested" (the little girl, I mean) for "murdered" (of her mother). The man calling on the woman in the apartment is clearly unhinged and as played by Shepperd Strudwick, in one of the best performances of the entire series, he oozes a spooky perversity, especially when he states that he had a crush on the woman when she was a child, then shows her a picture of herself as a child that he just happens to have in his wallet!

Also remember the episode Miniature was the very first one that was shown on that particular marathon too . The TV Narrator mentioned before the episode started that this episode had not been shown since it aired new back in the day ( and it was the " colorized interior dollhouse version " shown too ) . Thanks RiP, IMDb for your reply .

Does anyone remember "Spur of the Moment " with Diana Hyland? It's one of my favorites. It begins with a woman who is soon to be married out for a morning horseback ride. She sees an older woman on horseback on top of a hill. All of a sudden the older woman starts riding down the hill toward the other at breakneck speed all the while screaming at the top of her lungs and chases her all the way home. That scene scared me witless as a youngster. Anyway, the twist is: The older woman is actually the younger woman from the future and she's trying to warn her younger self not to marry the man she's about to marry. He will ruin her life. You can probably guess how things turn out.

I hope the TZ Marathon that is usually on SyFy July 4th will show this episode again too . Thanks so much jervistetch for your reply .

Too many to name them all, but I often remember "Third from the Sun" for it's nail-biting suspense.

mszanaduI'm surprised that I never posted a favorite TZ episodes list, but... Here it is! (I'll try to limit myself to 10, but it's difficult!) "Walking Distance" "I Shot an Arrow into the Air" "Time Enough at Last" "The Monsters are Due on Maple Street" "A Stop at Willoughby" "Will the Real Martian Please Stand Up?" "To Serve Man" "Nightmare at 20,000 Feet" "Number 12 Looks Just Like You" "The After Hours" *"It's a Good Life" should have made that list, as it's so well-done, but I find it unbelievably cruel and simply nasty--quite remarkable, and a testament to the talent involved, but I wouldn't be honest in claiming it as a "favorite."
