So in Episode 2 when Obi-Wan shows up to meet the clones his story changes repeatedly throughout the conversation. When he first arrives he's told he's expected and he immediately gives away that has no clue why. He then blatantly admits that he has no clue that Sifo Dias was ever involved. He makes stupid ass statements like saying he's proud of the progress and immediately is shocked that the progress is clones. He doesn't even know who the army is even for, BUT HE STILL SAYS THE PROGRESS IS GOOD NEWS?? WHAT!?!?!?!?!. Then suddenly he claims that he was sent there to pick them up all along, casually trying to sell the not too convincing line, "that's why I'm here."
No it isn't A-HOLE!!! You just said you had no idea they even existed F-TARD!!! This is the most nonsensical conversation I've ever heard! Who wrote this bullshit dialogue? It's terrible!
How did the cloners not pick up on this obvious liar!? After he admits not knowing they even existed, the idiot aliens then say "you must be anxious to inspect them yourself". Earth to morons!!!! HE'S LYING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

1. Obviously he's lying.
2. Lol at how mad you got.
3. There an Episode 2 sub-board where you should have posted this thread.
Hope that helps....

That scene is a bit confusing. I'm guessing that Obi-Wan was using the Force to manipulate their minds as he went along. i.e. something along the lines of a Jedi mind trick.

It's much simpler than that. He's making it up as he goes along, and the Kaminoans don't care as long as they're getting paid....

I see no evidence that they only care about money. They take pride in what they do - boasting about the cloning process. They go to the trouble to inquire about the person who commissioned the whole ordeal, which shows that they care to whom the army goes to. They even went to the trouble of picking the one person (Jango) who they find to be the perfect specimen to clone from.

Way to avoid addressing the obvious poorly crafted dialog of this sequence. Cheers!!! So you were not just trolling, but all the bad grammar, captions, and madness are the real deal...? You are breaking my heart, kid.
How could I ever explain the blatantly obvious to you? Obi was on an detective spree to investigate the identity of the assassin, plus the mysterious erasing of the Kamino file in the temple. So, when he was welcomed on Kamino he just played along with what the Cloners leaked to him in order to get more information for his investigation - he "winged" it on the fly, maybe poorly so...but Obi since the OT has always been a poor liar.
The Cloners did not pick up on it - maybe they are too diplomatic a businesspeople, or maybe these weird aliens do not pick up on subtle human emoting - and why should they even care? All they know is the Jedi/Republic ordered the army and pays for it. They care for manners and money, as barkeeper Dex suggested. That's their motivation.
Just for fun:
"He makes stupid ass statements like saying he's proud of the progress and immediately is shocked that the progress is clones." He never said he was proud. Obi played along with the cloners' mistake so to find out what is going on.
"He then blatantly admits that he has no clue that Sifo Dias was ever involved." Wrong, he informs them that Dias died ten years ago, which only proves to the Cloners that Obi Wan is a Jedi. The CW series give the background on what really transpired.
"Then suddenly he claims that he was sent there to pick them up all along, casually trying to sell the not too convincing line, "that's why I'm here.that's why I'm here." " Wrong, he never says he came to pick up the army , his "that's why I'm here" was referring to the Cloner's suggestion to inspect/visit the units - could be meant in a sarcastic, cynical, sardonic or serious way, whatever.
"No it isn't A-HOLE!!! You just said you had no idea they even existed F-TARD!!! No he did not, he just asked "the army?" when they spoke of units, but he was still playing along and the Cloner boss seemed not to pick up on Obi's surprise. That all might seem a little odd and uninformed to the cloners, but that would hardly be a deal breaker even in real life, and you don't bite the hand that feeds you.
This is the most nonsensical conversation I've ever heard! Who wrote this bullshit dialogue? It's terrible! Lol, now this is irony...

Yes, I know he was winging it, and I know they didn't pick up on it. You missed the point that it was incredibly obvious because his statements made no sense and they should have realized that.
Knowing Sifo was killed 10 years ago, doesn't have anything to do with knowing he was involved. You're completely wrong, and your entire post here doesn't solve the problem that the dialogue makes no sense.

You're spazzing out and getting overly dramatic about this scene and it's dialogue. Jedan Archer and Jan El Señor already elaborated on it, but Dax's comments about the Kaminoans gives you a clue about what their priorities are. I doubt the Kaminoans were stupid enough not to pick up on ObiWan "making it up as he went along". But they probably chalked it up to sloppy etiquette on ObiWan's part or quirky and odd formalities inherent to the Jedi or people of Coruscant. They just played along, as long as ObiWan kept his manners in tact and the details of business were still honored.

It's poorly conceived dialogue plain and simple.
You wouldn't just show the detailed workings of a privately contracted army to some guy who showed up and didn't even know he was expected or anything about the fact there was an army or even the person who ordered it. He clearly had no f'ing clue why he was there but then every time he was asked if he did, he'd just say "yup of course I do!!" No creature smart enough to breed clones would buy that. It was dumb.
