...I love an ice cold bottle of Lagunitus Imperial Stout...
I dislike almost all IPA's because of their extreme bitterness...

I hate most of the mainstream American beers: Bud, Coors, Miller, etc.
I don't know if I have a "go to" favorite, since I like to try new beers all the time.

I do prefer a micro brew IPA. My favorite widely available beer is Abita from New Orleans. Purple Haze is my favorite, then Amber, then Turbodog, then Andygator.
My least favorite, to echo the person above, is any of the mass produced American shit - Bud, Miller Lite, Coors....it's all tasteless, alcholic piss water. Can't even remember the last time I had one.

Love New Belgium Abbey it's simply the best dubbel you can get and at a great price too.
Hate most Cream Ales and Pilsners. Two crappy beer styles.
American Adjunct Lagers like Bud, miller, coors are not very good either.
But at the end of the day, there's a rather long list of beers I like. It's hard to narrow it down to just one.

I disagree with a few posters. I try all these so called craft beers and none of them are as good as Bud or Busch beer.
Sam Adams has got to be one of my worst beers. Got a 12 pack and drank about half a bottle then gave the rest to my neighbor.

I never got into that funky kinds of beers. I like budweiser. Hate Guinness or any of the dark beers.

Love Guinness, and love stouts, or "dark, syrupy beers" in general.
Don't really hate any, but I'm not a fan of Budweiser or any of those lighter, piss-colored beers in general . . . except that for some reason I really like Miller Genuine Draft.

Those millers seem to have a much more watery kind of taste to it. I"ve been to some concerts where Miller was all they served and that was fine though.

I have had this beer a couple of times and love it. It is kind of hard to find. It is made in St. Marys, Pennsylvania. They don't add any sugar, salt, or preservatives. If you can find I suggest you give it a try. It is called Straub Beer. They also make a Straub American Amber Lager. I have not tried that yet.

I tried this Troganator beer that my friend loves. An IPA. It's got like double the amount of alcohol than a regular beer. I drank one and it tasted disgusting and it nearly put me to sleep. If that's how most of the IPA's are, I think I'll stick to the standard bud.

If that's how most of the IPA's are, I think I'll stick to the standard bud. IPA (India Pale Ale) is just one of many different beer styles. If that was the first beer you ever tried outside of Bud, Miller, Coors then you're friend really should not have given that to you. IPAs are not that easy to drink, although there are some that are easy to drink like Goose Island IPA and Deschutes Brewery Fresh Squeezed IPA... but yeah, due to the intense bitterness of most IPAs I can only recommend them to seasoned craft beer drinkers, they're just not for newbies. Although,, I am pretty sure Troganator is a DoppelBock which is also another beer style. At any rate, there's over 100 beer different beer styles, and they all taste different. IPA and Light Lagers (like Bud) is just barely scratching the surface of the beer world. Try a Belgian Dubbel, Saison (Farmhouse Ale), or a Sweet Stout. You might be surprised at how delicious some of them are. You'll soon discover why people are willing to pay three or four times the amount of money for high quality beers.. Just to give you an idea of what they can taste like, here's a video review of one of my favorite Saisons called Tank 7 ... After discovering Tank 7 and Saison-Brett, another beer by Boulevard brewing, it makes me laugh when I see Miller High Life being touted as the "Champagne Of Beers". LOL!! Saison-Brett and Tank 7 are truly the champagne of beers. Just remarkable beverages...

I just never went out of my way to experiment or go to any beer festivals or anything like that. If somebody gives me a beer I'll drink it no matter what it is though so I've tried many different beers. I did go to a rock festival that only served craft beers and had many different tents selling different types of beers and that was pretty cool. But after 30 years of drinking mostly Budweiser, I doubt I would end up switching at this point. But I'm open to try any kind of beer

...hard to find, expensive and only available near the end of November, Goose Island Bourbon County stout and coffee stout. This is genuine sippin' brew...
Another interesting brew from Germany is Aecht Raushbier which has a smoked ham flavor...also great to use for cooking...

Another interesting brew from Germany is Aecht Raushbier which has a smoked ham flavor...also great to use for cooking... Bourbon Counbty is a a great beer but since Goose Island was bought out by Anheuser Busch (AB InBev), it seems like the quality of Bourbon County has gone down. But yeah, Aecht Schlenkerla UrBock Rauchbier is amazing... tastes like smoked meat. love it... Is this beer you're talking about - this beer is so great!

...yes, stickman38, that is exactly the smoked bier beer I was referring to...it also comes as a marzen...
Here's an oddity:
Dubhe Imperial Black IPA brewed with hemp seed
...and there is Coney Island Lager and Batch 19 pre prohibition style lager
