I watch their stuff just for a laugh or curiosity but anyone else feel they've become more nitpicky and mean-spirited as of late?

I don't take their videos seriously. I just consider them parody, as most of the "sins" aren't really sins at all.

I don't take Cinema Sins seriously. Most of what they label "sins" are tropes of the genre of whatever movie they're picking apart.

Love them. Who cares if they're nitpicking, they're still usually good points, and the main thing is it's just for entertainment. I love the occasional calling out of Hollywood for greed or whatever, too.
Also, LOVE the end of the videos with scenes from the movies played with dialogue from other movies. So funny.

It's just for entertainment purposes, but there are times where he makes some really great points.

I used to, three years ago.
When they started flogging t-shirts, the channel became too commercialized for my liking. I thought Jeremy (the CinemaSins narrator) wasn't enjoying it as much.
Still one of the best content creators though.

I'm glad somebody brought this up.
I do feel that their later videos circa 2015 are a bit more harsh. Their older reviews like The Room (2003) and Justin Bieber: Never Say Never (2011) are freakin' hilarious! Nowadays, it's like they have a quota to meet, so they add as many sins as possible to extend the length of their videos to accumulate more views.
The narrator whips through them so damn fast that I often find myself going back to see what in the world he's talking about. I never had to do that with their pre-2015 videos.
I wish they would tone it down a bit and just stick to what's actually sinful.

I watch their stuff just for a laugh or curiosity but anyone else feel they've become more nitpicky and mean-spirited as of late? Yes. Everyone already said this, but I enjoyed watching CinemaSins in their early years. Their videos were shorter, highlighted the major sins, and I always enjoyed a good laugh watching them. Sometime after 2014, when they became popular, their videos became longer and they became very mean-spirited with an ever-increasing sin count mainly of just nitpicks and minor errors. They address all of this in their "Everything Wrong with CinemaSins", so I still watch their videos for entertainment and not take every sin so seriously.

I watch their stuff just for a laugh or curiosity but anyone else feel they've become more nitpicky and mean-spirited as of late? I've seen a few of their videos. They just nitpick the shit out of movies and use a counter gimmick that other internet critics use as a gag. From what I've seen, Cinema Sins never bothered to offer a meaningful critique or interpretation of a film and I thought their videos were a huge waste of my time. In short, I found them annoying and lazy. I never went back.

I like them. I don't take their videos seriously and neither should you. They can nitpick as much as find legitimate flaws with a film.

I watch their videos for a laugh. Some things they pick out are truly mistakes or goofs, but a majority are just their own opinion about something they didn't agree with (40 seconds for logos or something).

I stopped watching them a while ago. I can't really pin point why I stopped but I just did. I prefer the Screen Junkies crew with Honest Trailers and the How It Should Have Ended series as I find those to be highly entertaining while also informative in regards to a review standpoint with Honest Trailers. They tend to point out a lot of things that I never noticed before.
I'm a member of SJPlus and I've grown to really respect their opinions on most films. Some of them have a lot of the same line of tastes that I do so they're pretty much my go to in regards to movie reviews before seeing a film.
In regards to the mean-spirited thing as of late. Is this your opinion that Cinema Sins has gotten this way or are you getting it from articles? I ask this because I constantly see the same headlines from internet stories when Honest Trailers posts a new one that says: "Honest Trailers Rips [Insert Movie Title Here] a New One!" type of deal when in my mind I don't see them as being harsh really at all just a "honest" parody trailer of the film.

I never took them seriously. Sure they highlight mistakes but most of the time they're just having fun. I mean they add a sin every time the DC logo appears in a DC movie.

I love Cinema Sins, but you have to keep in mind that they're not serious critiques. They do make some good points, and many of the mistakes they point out are things I'd never noticed. But much of the stuff they sin is just stuff that they find irritating, or think are funny, or whatever. They openly admit that they sin stuff they love, just because "we're jerks".
But hey, I have RLM for actual reviews. Cinema SIns is just fun.

I really don't get them anymore, I really don't. I used to find the joke funny, but it gets a little old after a while.

One movie I'll admit I'm surprised that they still haven't done yet was The Lone Ranger (2013).
