His image is turning up on just about every Google Image search I do and it is labeled as all sorts of people who he definitely is NOT. I don't care what Google says. This is NOT Hans Conreid.

BATouttaheckYeah, that's pretty weird--we can find everyone that he's not and as whom he's labelled for whatever reason. After doing some searching, could it be Sean Bean? He apparently played a role under a lot of makeup in the TV show Game of Thrones (which I've never seen, so I can't confirm one way or the other).

I think I found him. Sean Bean in Game of Thrones?
The main question IS.
WHY is he turning up in almost every Google image Search mis-labelled as someone else. For a while Jaleel White as Urkel was everywhere.

NalkarjThanks. I usually check back to see if my post has posted but this time I did not and so I didn't see that you had already posted while I was writing up my big discovery. I finally found some pictures that looked like him BUT they are not labelled as being him. Since he is not mainly 20th Century, I have no idea who he is ! These frequent intruders into searches are mysterious !

You really didn't know who he was? That's not that unusual but it is odd he didn't pop up right away on image search. He's Ned freaking Stark after all.

Cortana shrugs its shoulders and says darned if I know. "http://img4.zergnet.com/1975563_300.jpg" is all it says. I have no idea who Ned Stark (freaking or other wise) is, was or will be. Via Google Search, this image was ID'd as beingHans Conried (among others).

poelzig I've no idea who "Ned Stark" is either. I cheated and looked it up. He's a mainish character in this Games of Thrones thingy which it turns out is what everyone keeps referring to as "GoT". POSSIBLE SPOILERS --- it was tl:dr after a time: Eddard Ned" Stark (Sean Bean) Ned Stark is the Lord of Winterfell, Lord Paramount of the North, and Warden of the North. Ned is the middle son of Lord Rickard Stark of Winterfell, was fostered by Lord Jon Arryn at the Eyrie from the age of eight, where he became good friends with fellow ward Robert Baratheon, the child lord of Storm's End and Lord Paramount of the Stormlands. After Aerys II Targaryen killed his father and older brother, Brandon Stark, he also demanded the heads of both Ned and Robert. Instead of handing the two boys over, Jon Arryn rose up in rebellion. Ned, now Lord of Winterfell with his father's and brother's deaths, rallied the North and Lord Robert rallied the Stormlands and joined the rebellion. Because Lord Robert had the best claim to the throne, it eventually became known as Robert's Rebellion. Ned married Catelyn Tully shortly before participating in the decisive Battle of the Trident. When Ned returned to Winterfell at the end of Robert's Rebellion, he had a bastard son, Jon Snow, by an unknown woman he had met in the South. He raised Jon alongside his five trueborn children Robb, Sansa, Arya, Bran, and Rickon. Eventually Ned and King Robert would be reunited when Ned went to King's Landing to become the Hand of the King. Ned is one of the most staunchly ethical men in Westeros who tries to follow either the letter or the spirit of the law. He is even-tempered, intelligent, warm, and loving and liked by all.

I think I found him. Sean Bean in Game of Thrones? The main question IS. WHY is he turning up in almost every Google image Search mis-labelled as someone else. For a while Jaleel White as Urkel was everywhere. because when you image search someone google includes the imdb page for that person, and because IMDb is so prominent in the google algorithm, it starts to throw in everything on that imdb page, including unrelated things like the "imdb picks" picture on the right side of every page so you might start seeing this image turn up everywhere, the one under imdb picks: september www.imdb.com/name/nm0175788/

BATouttaheck Thankee, Bat. I was looking it up as well. And many, many thanks for explaining that GoT means the TV show Game of Thrones--it took me an eternity to understand that. Most of the synopsis doesn't make much sense to me (or, probably, to you), though... Oh, well, I wear not following the zeitgeist as a badge of honor! camimac I know who Sean Bean is, but he's not a favorite actor of mine, and he looked more like Russell Crowe here.

bonerxmas Oddly enough, I think I understood what that meant (the part about the IMDb pages anyway.) In your example you are referring to the Ray Donavan image ? Edit : it changed and is "the mayor" now .. argh !
