Mother suing daughter for broken shower tiles (can't remember date):
Last name of each of the parties was Jacobs.
Mother was suing her 19 year old daughter for broken tiles in the shower. Apparently, the daughter threw a hissy fit in the shower.
I was thinking, "Well, I'm gonna need video proof of this." There was no TV on display in the courtroom, so no one had a video. DANG IT! 
About a few minutes into the case, JJ asked defendant to zip up her jacket - citing one not dress like they are going to a cocktail party.
My response to her request about zipping up her jacket? NOOOOOOOOOOO!
In the end, of course, the plaintiff's case was dismissed.

If you touch base with Clore, please tell him I was asking for him. As for the lack of posts, I think people are split over many boards now, a few hundred here, a few hundred there. Some may have stopped posting altogether. Not like IMDB, where thousands were registered and posting. *** archived a lot of the old posts... which is nice, to a point. But, that's water under the bridge. What good is it if no one is posting? Clore's hangin' in. I wish he'd post here but he doesn't post as much as he used to anywhere. Let's hope that changes.
Addison's cool. He seems more mellower now. There's nothing I can do to get him to go where he doesn't want to go.
I wish Jimcat would join in here, or if he had, announce himself. Lively as they come, informative, funny, full of life, not always as tactful as one might wish,--for all that--I'd love to see him back.

Haven't been around as much as in the past. As a caregiver, very little time to do anything, including going out to see a movie lol. Haven't really posted on the classic film board, miss it and you guys, will try to stop in soon!
Good to hear about clore, addison and mrseq, hope they're all doing well. I too heard that jimcat was no longer around. I hope wherever he is, he continues to not be tactful and just be himself!
Would be great to have a CFB reunion, if only for one night. When I get a chance, I'll post on the cfb board and see where we can take this.
Good to see you again, miss you guys dearly, and the glory days will never be forgotten!

Did anyone see the episode yesterday (05/15/19)?
This was the case where the plaintiff's dog got out of the defendant's control - injuring another dog. Plaintiff claimed it was the defendant's fault because the dog was in his control.
Of course, her claim was dismissed. Plaintiff almost tried to tell JJ how to do her job. When she tried to do that, JJ looked at Byrd, and said, "She's done".
In the gallery was more important, though.
A while ago, someone had mentioned that Amy Schumer was in the gallery in a few episodes. Of course, I didn't see her.
To the left of the defendant, there was a girl wearing a grey sweater. I'm thinking she was Nichole Bloom. She plays Cheyenne on the hit NBC show "Superstore". It was either her, or a perfect doppelganger.

WOW! This forum is quite dead for the summer. I have to admit, I've been "Fast Forwarding" through the episodes this summer, as most of the cases aren't the least bit interesting. I'm tired of people bringing cases about dog bites, tree branches being cut, and security deposits. And I don't like the RBG look on Judy either - I really can't take her too seriously.
It might be time she hung up her lace collar.

Schlessinger/Palma vs. Colon 2/03/2020- “Bad Landlord Day”
Mr. Jason Schlessinger and Lisa Palma were in court suing Tiffany Colon for breaking a lease, unpaid utilities, and property damage to the home. JJ made Schlessinger sit down after it was revealed that he’s the owner of the house and only rents it to Lisa and her son. Tiffany was a subletter on the premises. Tiffany signed a six month lease on April 1st, 2019 and her lease was over in October.
Lisa was complaining that on the 27th of August, she saw Tiffany moving things out of the house. She was in the kitchen moving her groceries out. The room was for $700 altogether. Lisa was scared that Tiffany was going to stiff her for the rent and use her security deposit for the last month’s rent and Lisa would be out $100. Lisa claimed that she didn’t want to be homeless on the streets with her 18 year old boy. She couldn’t afford to pay Tiffany’s rent. Lisa was adamant that Tiffany was supposed to give her a 30 day notice before moving out.
Tiffany was fuckin SMOKING HOT in that purple skirt suit. She was FINE as hell!! I would have given her the D any day of the week. She was a lil sweetheart. Sexy ass SHAWTY.
JJ asks for proof that the clause of the 30 day notice is in the lease agreement and at this point, Lisa gets pissed off because JJ keeps asking the entire courtroom if they understood her question. JJ even drug her son into the fray and he wisely shut up and didn’t say much. Maaaann, was Lisa pissed off. You could see her nostrils flaring, her eyes getting beadier, and her temper flaring as she apparently didn’t take kindly that JJ was trying to involve her son. Lisa kept talking about Tiffany jumping out of windows and all that and JJ threatened to throw Lisa out of the court.
Of course, Lisa couldn’t find it in the lease where Tiffany had to give a 30 day notice. Lisa claimed on August 27th, Tiffany was moving shit out of her window with some random guy. She told Tiffany that if she left, she was breaching the lease. Tiffany claimed that she wasn’t going anywhere, but Tiffany trying to leave ostensibly. All Lisa had to do was keep the security deposit.
Lisa also claimed that Sexy Tiffany had damaged the room and put holes in the walls. At this point, JJ was fully invested in this case and wasn’t about to let Lisa get off early. JJ called up Lisa’s 18 year old boy who has just graduated high school (in February?) , D’Marco Peters. It was funny because he had to think about his name for two seconds. Well, that ended up backfiring on Lisa because D’Marco’s dumb ass wasn’t coached properly and ended up doing more harm than good to Lisa and Mr. Schlessinger’s case. D’Marco claims that Tiffany and him shared a bathroom and that she was much messier than D’Marco. Lisa added in that Tiffany was “nasty”. She doesn’t look nasty. He never complained to Lisa, but Lisa claimed that her son was scared. He was 18 years old. How is he “scared”? Tiffany is scrumptious and claimed that D’Marco was scared because his mother is a psychopath.
Tiffany then alerted JJ that she has all of Lisa’s antics on video. The video was taken on August 29th, 2019.
The video started out with Lisa acting berserk and kicking the door in like she was Special Agent Fox Mulder with the FBI or like the Chicago PD during a hostage crisis wearing a fuckin Cresco shirt, and a hat, and some fuckin leggings. Tiffany told Lisa directly that she doesn’t own the house. That’s when Lisa attacked Tiffany because the phone went all crazy afterwards.
Tiffany was countersuing for a return of her deposit and an assault. JJ got all pissed off and started berated Lisa Palma and telling her that she started out with a very simple case. Lisa was under the impression that Tiffany had to give her a 30 day notice before she left. JJ was having none of that, as Lisa was whole for the entire month.
Tiffany then interjected that Lisa dragged her into the wall and slammed her into the wall and was able to provide proof of it. Tiffany’s sexy ass wanted her deposit back. Lisa claimed that the police would have taken her away if her she was crazy. Lisa is crazy. I honestly think Lisa was a nutcase. Lisa was probably a Betty back in the day. She just straight kicked in that door. Then she grabbed Tiffany and whopped that ass. JJ was right, sometimes police are stupid as fuck. Lisa was adamant that Tiffany was trying to move out the window. JJ said she knew who Lisa was and Lisa said “No, you don’t!”
Tiffany was awarded her $1500. Lisa stated that Mr. Schliessinger would continue to rent to her.
Hallway Interview:
Lisa: “She just painted another picture because if I had hit her, I would have went to jail automatically.” Not necessarily. Lisa was just a crazy bitch and you can tell from her actions. Yeah, I'd fuck her, but I'd leave the very next day.
