Oh come on Essex Girl,it's almost funny. That's one of four threads and the only one that shows what you want to believe. Resorting to type I see. Glad you don't teach geography or history. Please do show me the other threads as I have just been through all the pages and nope' wrong again. There are 15 polls Even on your own poll it's 17 all. The what is your religion poll is 17 religious 16 atheist/ agnostic. The 3rd what is your religion poll is 6 all. So 3 polls not 4 and none show atheists as a majority. So so incorrect. Again.

Just turn away from your LIE of atheism. It's wicked, immoral and frankly idiotic to claim that there is no creator. You know he's there but you just won't admit it. It disgusts me. No, I don't know that there is a creator god there. In fact, everything I know indicates (though does not prove) the opposite.

There's no "point" to it. It's simply a term for a belief, or lack of belief, depending on how you phrase it, that some of us have.
My atheism isn't a belief that I chose to have. It's not as if I could simply choose to believe in a god.

I have never used that name before and I am not a troll. Look at my posting history and you will see that most of the topics I am active in are about movies. Also, someone claimed I insulted Jewish people in this thread but I did not.

I don't remember you from the old IMDb boards and I have never gone by that name. Can anyone tell me if there is an ignore button on this site as this guy has been stalking me and making stupid accusations and tbh I'm sick of it.

Most people know that people who call themselves atheists are just trying to look edgy or cool. However, nobody is impressed by it. In fact, 99% of the world thinks you're fools. I hate atheists. I don't use that world lightly but I really hate them. They are so smug and condescending and yet they lack any kind of moral code. They feel like they can just do what they want and never be punished for it. They waste their lives on alcohol, crime and drugs. All in the name of not believing on God. Pathetic. If I am having a conversation with someone and they reveal themselves to be an atheist, that is where the conversation will end. They are sad, desperate, lonely, sinful attention seekers and I will not indulge them by talking with them as if their opinion matters or has any relevance to the world. Creation exists folks so there must be some kind of creator. You don't have to be religious to understand that. Sorry for the rant but the fact that it is socially acceptable to be an atheist makes my blood boil. Christ gave up his life for you and you insult him by denying his existence. It's a disgrace and you should be ashamed. Go crawl back under your rock atheists. Pretty sad. That you can't see people as individuals or the world as it is, well, that's your disconnect. Don't put it on others. And if you understood religion, you'd understand that faiths like Buddhism exist where no creator is put forward. Oh, and I'm an atheist, so thankfully, I'll be spared any reply from you. That alone might be a huge draw for people to give up theism.

Not my God, but they do have a belief in a higher power or deity.

It was my nephew's birthday today so we all went round for his party. And as you might imagine there was cake. And as this is the "cake thread" I thought I'd share the experience/my thoughts... His mum/my sister-in-law isn't the best baker in the world, but she did decide to bake it herself. It was a chocolate cake and she'd tried to make it look like a train. I think the decoration actually wasn't too bad, but the I found the cake itself a bit dry and with the amount of icing and fondant on it it was overly sweet for my taste. Still - it was for a kid's party and "sweet" always goes down well with children.

While some syncretic takes include gods, Buddha himself specified belief in gods as a distraction and counter to the faith, that even thinking on the matter was "not conducive to spiritual life." As the Dalai Lama notes, "Buddhism does not accept a theory of God, or a creator."

So you say. Why so obsessed? Try adding atheist + agnostic + other together, lady. Why? Your statement was that the Atheists far out number the theists not the agnostic, other etc far out number the Christians. You are incorrect, you just don't wish to admit it. Again.

Atheists without the courage of their convictions call themselves agnostic, but there is no effective difference. Some non-believers call themselves Christian, like the man I encountered tonight who is friendly with the Bish because of their shared love of churchy music!

In which case you can show how obvious God is (assuming you mean the supernatural, deliberate one) without resorting to personal credulity and the claims of scripture. Better still if you can show how the existence of your preferred deity is a fact over the claims of others and why the respective claims differ by definition.
