Honestly, these movies and garbage that only appeal to teenage girls and 30 year old guys that still live with their parents. That being said, there are enough losers in the world that I think this movie will do very well. You may get a couple of feminists who won't go and see it because of the abuse allegations but in general I expect it to do very well. I will admit the first one was decent. But all the sequals were absolute crap.
The trailer that just go released doesn't look all that interesting to me. Hard pass on this one.
In rode the Lord of the Nazgûl. A great black shape against the fires beyond he loomed up, grown to a vast menace of despair. In rode the Lord of the Nazgûl, under the archway that no enemy ever yet had passed, and all fled before his face. All save one.
Doesn't surprise me any. I think most of it is because of Depp's personal life becoming more illustrated everywhere and many long time fans have turned on him on what he allegedly has done the last several years there. Depp needs to just take 5 or so years completely removed from movies period. Come back when his personal life isn't front and center. Also too seeing the trailer for the first time earlier today and just now looks to be nothing at all special or memorable.
No way does it flop. At worst, it underperforms significantly, but still makes a small profit.
The series is critic-proof at this point. People go to it to see Jack Sparrow do his thing, as well as for the good action and visuals. Plus, Javier Bardem playing the villain, along with Will Turner returning, should help build up some anticipation.
