Fizzies. Don't know if the last attempt to replicate them was faithful to the original, but they were like salt + Alka Selzer + sugar.
Can't think of a food. I pretty much disliked or wouldn't eat most everything, and foods I loved then I still love, even I don't eat them as much/often. I may have a slice or 2 of bacon now on occasion instead of a half pound or more on the weekend.

Because of Fall, I am already baking a lot of pumpkin-stuff so I thought of this: sweet potato puff. Loved it. But now the thought of it, makes me sick. Just way too sweet for me.

"Mayonnaise sandwiches"--I used to make them sometimes as a kid.
I used to like those flavored ice popsicles. Couldn't care less about them now.
In general I used to eat a lot more junk food. It's not that I wouldn't like it now--Cap'n Crunch, Pop Tarts, all sorts of cookies, etc., but I just avoid it now because it's not healthy/I'd gain weight if I were to eat it.
Not that I avoid all unhealthy or fattening food now, but I have to budget it, and I'd rather budget a slot for pizza or a burger, and every once in awhile stuff like ice cream, cake, pie etc. on special occasions.
The worst thing I still eat semi-regularly--2 or 3 times per week, is bagels.

1. Cola. Way too sweet for my taste now, even the diet versions. 2. A slice of white bread with the crusts pulled off, compressed into a tight little ball. Fun to make and eat as a kid, but an adult doing this would just seem a bit silly.

Citra. coke's competition to squirt. came out around the same time Surge did. went away around the same time as well EXCEPT.. coke never sold it in my county. The area I lived in, Coke was responsible for the distribution of The Dr. Pepper company products. Also the original Mr. Pibb formula. It was better than Dr. Pepper but when they changed the formula to Pibb Xtra in 2001, Dr. pepper is so much better than that b.s. These 2 were not sold in the San Bernadino county of Southern california because coca-cola is responsible for the distribution of Dr. Pepper products so Coke refused to sell their own competition out there. But my mom worked in a county where Pepsi was in charge of Dr. pepper Distribution so she always stopped at a store and brought it home. Coke is responsible for The distribution of Dr. Pepper products here in Bucks County, PA as well. So I don't see Pibb on shelves here but since they ruined it, I could care less. also, Schweppes brand Ginger Ale - Raspberry Flavor. drank it all the time. Until One day in 93 or 94, The manufacturer stopped selling it to stores in my area. I was so pissed. Never saw it again until 2013 when I visited a friend in Connecticut for the first time. I cried when i saw it. and cried again, when I moved to Pennsylvania in august and saw it on shelves here. I hate that It's only 2 liters but i'll take it anyway I can get it

I like seeing some of the "Oldies" revived. It's good to see some of the fun, former contributors, too. I guess that I missed this one, in "prime time."
In high school, it was common practice for us to stop by a local soda/snack shop, on the way home. Doughnuts, and a soft drink were the favorites, for most. (Teen age health food.)
I was never really crazy for Coke, but I had a small one, anyway. I LOVED some kinds of donuts. My absolute favorite was a maple bar. Today ... and for many decades ... doughnuts are pretty revolting to me. Other types of "pastries," a fine, although I don't crave them. However, NO doughnuts.

Hostess Twinkies and Snowballs, can't eat them anymore - too sugary. They don't seem to taste the same anymore either, but maybe that's my 'taster' or maybe it's actually the food. Same with many candies from years ago.

Most cold cuts, especially salami. Used to love it when I was a kid. Also, most McDonalds food. Used to love it. I still like the apple pie, though.

BBQ'd/grilled hot dogs I guess. Maybe they don't make them like they used to; probably my taste buds have evolved so far away.

also, Schweppes brand Ginger Ale - Raspberry Flavor. The only fruit/flavor I liked as a kid that I don't like now is raspberry. Don't even like it with chocolate.

I thought of another one - Ritz crackers, I loved them as a kid but now they taste so bland to me. Most crackers just seem too salty to me now. Ritz are still good with whipped cream cheese, but I've gone back to the old 'Sociables' crackers for now.
