The 70s sure had more than their fair share of obscure TV shows; shows that barely lasted one season or even two if they were lucky, but were then quickly forgotten.
Here's some of them that I remember:
The Feather and Father Gang When Things Were Really Rotten Ball Four Quinn Martin's Tales Of The Unexpected Chopper One The Cowboys (spin-off from the John Wayne movie) Dirty Sally Holmes & Yo-Yo The San Pedro Bums Firehouse Westside Medical
Any others?

Wow, I actually remember the Feather and Father Gang and Holmes & Yo-Yo from my childhood.
Others off the top of my head:
Love American Style (I loved this show as a kid) The Night Stalker (this one too) All's Fair (really obscure sitcom starring Richard Crenna and Bernadette Peters) Big John, Little John (Saturday morning show for kids, but had a cool sci-fi twist to it) Lucan (about a man who was raised by wolves as a boy) Night Gallery (70s version of the Twilight Zone)

I remember about half of the shows that have been mentioned in this thread so far. I could think of a few more if I tried.

Police Surgeon Westwind Love Thy Neighbor (Trivia note: Leads Ron Masak and Joyce Bulifant were originally cast as the parents on The Brady Bunch) The Delphi Bureau Longstreet Arnie Search
All these shows were ones I watched back then.

I was watching a Planet of the Apes marathon yesterday. Seeing James Franciscus in beneath the planet of the apes, made me remember him from the 1970's show: Longstreet, which also featured Bruce Lee.

That reminds me. The Planet of the Apes (1974) is one of those obscure TV show from the 70's. It was only 1 season if I recall.

"Temperatures Rising" with Cleavon Little and James Whitmore. It was a medical comedy.

The Shazam Isis hour (Not really obscure if you were a kid at the time).
The New Mickey Mouse club 1977. (The second one since the 1950's, and used much of the same sets. Short lived, and not as good as the original).
I thought that this one was 70's for sure, but it turns out it missed it by about a month, and that's Tenspeed and Brown shoe. A detective series starring a young Jeff Goldblum along side Ben Vereen. Only lasted 14 episodes.

When Things Were Rotten Logan's Run Gemini Man David Cassidy Man Undercover The Invisible Man A Year at the Top
The Logan's Run TV show had the secret society of old people running things and for years I remembered that as being part of the movie for some reason.
The Gemini Man and The Invisible Man may have been released the same season but I'm not sure. They were both about invisible guys.
A Year at the Top starred future chimp pal and trucker Greg Evigan and future late night bandleader Paul Schafer as brothers who sold their souls to the devil for a year of fame.

In fact, I recently saw a couple episodes of the old cartoon on the El Rey Network of all places. If we want to get into obscure Saturday Morning kid's shows from the 70's this could get very lengthy. Remember The Monster Squad (no, not the movie, the kid's show from the 70's) or The Ghostbusters (again not the movie or the cartoon but the live action show from the 70's with Forrest Tucker, Larry Storch, and a gorilla)

The Adventures of Black Beauty 1972. This one featured a young Judi Bowker (Andromeda in Clash of The Titans, Brother Sun, Sister Moon ). Unfortunately, Judi was gone by season 2, and so was the show following this season.

I remember a show named "The Smith Family". It was a family show with Henry Fonda as the father who was a police detective. I can't really remember any episode plots but I remember Ronny Howard played the oldest kid. This was Ronny post-Opie, pre-Richie. The daughter was played by a really cute actress named Darleen Carr. Whatever happened to her? I guess I have to Google her.

I remember a show named "The Smith Family". Never saw it, but I'm familiar with the show. And Darleen Carr was indeed a serious cutie. I knew that I knew her from somewhere else besides this show but couldn't place it at first. Turns out I remember her from the 1971 Clint Eastwood feature, The Beguiled. Interestingly enough, she starred in an episode of the Walton's a few years later that was also titled “The Beguiled”.

I just realized she is the sister of Charmian Carr, who played Liesl in THE SOUND OF MUSIC. Charmian sadly passed away just last year at a far too young age.

Ahh, that explains why some of her photos came up jervistetch, when I looked up Darlene, but I didn't bother to make the connection. She was really a looker, just like her sister. We lost some serious actors all in the last year. The most recent off the top of my head being Bill Paxton, whom I've always liked going back to his Weird Science days. As well as Richard Hatch from the original Battlestar Galactica, which was a kids dream come true in the 70's, and spawned an obscure show that just missed 70's, “Galactica 1980”.
