I so agree here folks I also have watched A LOT of gory horror flicks
over the years too and think this is a disturbing nasty gross scene ( of course only laughing at it too because it takes the disturbing numbness feeling away
and I pretend it's a retractable prop needle too ) .
Also for me in a film like this it would definitely churn my stomach
especially if the scene did last more than a minute or two .
**Also a warning here if viewing skinned people
churn your stomach don't click on the blue movie title link . **
That’s actually form Hellbound: Hellraiser II but that is pretty disturbing as well.
Oh OK Thanks for letting me know here jamesbamesy !!
I usually don't watch the Hellraiser Film Series all that much
because of those certtain stomach churner scenes - too much .
I believe the last time I actually did watch one of these films
was over a couple of years ago on cable TV
and my hubby wanted to watch it as is ( of course after watching one of these films
he didn't want to watch it again either -
his tolerance level is even lower than mine is here ) .
So when certain scenes like this was on I would either
check out my computer and ignore the movie altogether ,
go take a food break , bathroom break , or take a quick stroll around my home
just a few ways to avoid watching those certain scenes .
Although the creepy storylines for these films
were interesting enough at the same time
IMPO - it seemed the gore on these films were a bit excessive
and just needed to be taken down a notch or two .

I actually thought that I'd seen everything that could possibly phase me in a horror movie. I've watched many creative/gory deaths in horror movies, but one particular moment in the movie 'Julia's Eyes' (which I would strongly recommend, it really surprised me!) almost had me look away from the screen. I actually felt physically uncomfortable viewing it, so in that sense the movie really achieved it's goal. I've loved horror movies since my mid teens, seen 100's if not 1000's, but this disturbed me, perhaps it's because I wear glasses I don't know. I couldn't find an image of the exact moment, but I did find a gif, so I'll link to it below. Perhaps when viewed out of context, it isn't as powerful, and maybe I've gotten soft since my teens, but anyway it's below... The gif also seems sped-up, I think it's much slower in the movie. Warning: If you don't like needles or (fictional) gore, don't view this, it's graphic. images.gr-assets.com/hostedimages/1446162475ra/16755564.gifEyeball stuff freaks me out too. Year's ago Anguish (1987) did the same thing for me. It's about a guy who sits behind you in a movie theatre and removes your eyes with a scalpel.
