It was weird and brilliant, especially the first season. The second went a bit soapy in parts and had some ridiculous story-lines but it was still better than most of the stuff on TV at the time and it kept the weirdness throughout.
It had genuine scares in it, a load of humour and if you like weird characters, it's chock full of them.
It's still up there in my top TV series of all times.

I have never seen any of the Twin Peaks, but all I've heard and read are very positive and glowing reviews. Isn't it cult status? I figure being a David Lynch project.
One of these days I'm going to have to watch them. There's a few out there though, not counting the new one that's coming out. But given I've never seen any episodes and have no idea what any of them are about, I figure I can sort of jump in and see what's being offered.

I'm here because I want to see what people are saying about it. I heard a lot about it back when it came out but never watched it. And I'm not sure if because there's another TP coming out, that it rekindled my curiosity perhaps? So I started reading about it on IMDB to learn more about it and see what it was about. If it was worth looking into.
I got this idea that I'd really like to see it. All of a sudden it's airing now on cable (cue spooky music) so it piqued my interest.
So, that's why I'm here. I'm curious and I'm looking forward to seeing it. I liked Lynch's Blue Velvet, I know how bizarre he can get. Wasn't sure if this was as surreal. Trying to learn,....trying to learn,...

Most everything I hear about it is positive, but I have made a couple of attempts at watching it and I just can't get past the first couple of episodes. I don't know why because I usually like this type of show.
I remember when it was on originally. I was about 13 and the image of dead Laura Palmer used to freak me out so much that I didn't want anything to do with it. That image was everywhere. Of course the image doesn't bother me now; that's not the reason.
Maybe some day I'll try for a third attempt.

I enjoy enquiring along with engagement... Asking questions, getting answers, and all in the same place where I'm also discussing other TV shows and movies.

I probably would've enjoyed it more had I seen it when it first aired. I finished the first season, but I don't think I'll ever watch the second. It just didn't click with me as it went on.
