BuzzrTV is a block of 2 1/2 hours dedicated to older game shows. I record it each night since it airs between 1:00am and 3:30am EST.
I guess with the fall schedule, they revamped the game shows being aired. It is now:
1:00 - 1:30 = Match Game '75. 1:30 - 2:00 = Super Password (featuring the late, great Bert Convy) 2:00 - 2:30 = Tattletales (ALSO featuring the late, great Bert Convy) 2:30 - 3:00 = Blockbusters (featuring the late, great Bill Cullen) 3:00 - 3:30 = Press Your Luck (featuring the late, great (but taken FAR too soon) Peter Tomarken)
I am more into the quiz game shows, as opposed to skill game shows. That's why I'm not really a fan of Tattletales.
The others, I do like. I go right for Super Password. Even though it isn't a 'quiz' show per sé, I do like Match Game (any incarnation).
Even though Match Game, Blockbusters and Press Your Luck are dated, some of the questions hold true today. On the one episode of Press Your Luck, one of the questions was "Americans will be spending money on aspartame". Even though it is more relevant now, this was when aspartame was a new thing. And, in the one celebrity match on Match Game '75, the poll was "Wake (blank)".
I would have said Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go, but that was about 10 years AFTER the show aired.
Enjoy!
