Would you have wanted a lighter Green Arrow show closer to the comics? Or do you like this batman-esque tv show?

I liked The Arrow from season one and two, better than I do 'The Green Arrow' from season four & five. Honestly I'd rather a lighter Green Arrow, albeit not at the CW.

While I like 'Arrow' I personally preferred the Justin Hartley version of the character more in 'Smallville' and think the show would be better if they had made him more like that and kept him as a billionaire and the CEO of Queen Industries. I understand why they decided to reboot it instead of going through with the original 'Smallville' spinoff but I think they shouldn't have changed him so much and kept Justin Hartley.

Definitely lighter. I was so excited they were making a show out of one of my favorite and more underrated comic characters, only to get a poor man's Batman. If only the show had come out just a year or two later when "fun" superheroes became the new thing.

To be fair, I think 'Green Arrow' was more fun in 'Smallville' and his scenes with Hawkman were hilarious and one of my favourite moments on that show. 'Smallville' had a lot of fun versions of superheroes but 'Arrow' went for a more dark and serious tone 'cause they believed it would appeal to more people.
